Investing in Roth IRA can be a good choice since they are funded with after tax dollars, your contributions can grow tax-free over time. When you withdraw money from your Roth IRA in retirement, you won’t have to pay tax on it, which will help you keep more of your hard-earned money. I retired with 5 million dollars

Index funds are a safer bet to start. They offer good diversification. But individual stocks could make you a fortune if you know how to go about it. Some people make upper six figures yearly from investing alone. But it's always a good idea to work with a financial advisor. It raises your chance of profit by a lot.

like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

These are very valuable info for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the knowledge embedded in it. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I've got $200k set aside to put in the market.

Yeah, brokerage AdvisoRs could make a lot of difference. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of investors raking in 6 to 7 digits in a space of months. So, I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. The Trump victory will hurt the economy. Over the last twenty years, when the Dems have been in charge the economy has done better. Clinton 8 years and Obama 8 years. Trump followed Obama”s great economy and blew it with his tariff’s, spending and mismanagement of COVID. He raised the deficit more than 10 Presidents combined. Biden suffered the consequences of that with inflation. Trump voters are in for a rude awakening.

I appreciate the video and I have questions regarding sizing into a trade and also ETF/Digital assets portfolio management. Often times I see myself sizing in when my pre-determined zone is met but I’m unsure what has the best potential: going with a full size order or sizing more as my the price extends further into my zone. And how are people making $450K already in the year? Sometimes the psychological part of this is the most difficult!

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800k

It is, in my opinion, the best way to get started in the industry right now.

I agree with you that compared to actual index funds, the zero funds are meh (trusting Fidelity's ability to simulate with minimal drift, portability of holdings should one wish to switch to another institution, etc.). However, why not do a like to like comparison? E.g., what is your opinion of FXAIX as compared to VFIAX? Also, for those who have more than the various minimums, I have yet to hear a comprehensive walk-through of the differences between index funds, their ETF equivalents, and why/if one should stay with one type or the other should one wish to. Yes, you can trade and ETF at any time of the market's day... but for long term holders -- not traders -- that shouldn't matter much, right? Are there tax advantages or tracking advantages that one has over the other?

If you need income, more payouts would be better, but if you are investing in the long term, less transactions might make tax tracking simpler, and it lowers costs to the fund.
@LouDog39
@LouDog39 7 ай бұрын
@sprinkle61 not concerned with income. Larger concern is reinvestment into the market quarterly can offset the expense ratio. You aren't missing out on an entire year's worth of gains when it's paid out quarterly.Taxes argument doesn't make sense because it's still the same dividend ratio being paid out. It's not hard to "track".
@sprinkle61
@sprinkle61 7 ай бұрын
@@LouDog39 Not harder to track if you use the average cost basis when you sell part of your stake, but if you actually calculate the cost basis for each set of shares, the quarterly dividends and capital gains can create hundreds of purchases at different prices, that you might have to keep track of, if you don't want to use the average cost for all shares, but want to sell specific lots.
@LouDog39
@LouDog39 7 ай бұрын
@sprinkle61 You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. 4 dividend payouts annually is going to cause hundreds of purchases? Over what time period? 50 years? If youre trying to nickel and dime on your taxes by selling those purchases over that time period, then you just silly. I mean, what are we even talking about here? This is an index fund, not an individual stock that you might move in and out of your position more frequently.

Bitcoin trading can be highly volatile, which is why many traders prefer to work with established firms for expert guidance. Navigating the market alone can be daunting, especially during tough times. A mentor can make a big difference. If you could share your mentor’s name, I would love to reach out for guidance.

Does it make sense to hold several types on Index funds in different accounts? For example if you have a Roth IRA and a standard Brokerage account, would it be beneficial to have shares of one individual type in both accounts or have different types of index funds in each account?
@sprinkle61
@sprinkle61 7 ай бұрын
The ONLY reason to have different large cap stock index funds is tax loss harvesting. Say you own a S&P 500 fund, and it takes that 20 % dump in 2022, then you could sell it and put the money in a total market index fund, which is basically almost the same thing, but you don't have to wait 30 days to avoid the Wash Sale rule, and don't have to risk missing the rebound. Other than this specific case, I would just own the fund you like the best in all accounts, unless you need something weird, like low yielding bonds or international stocks.

I just sold a property in Orange County and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying its ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? How are other people in the same market raking in over $450k gains within months, I'm really just confused at this point.

Keep your focus on two primary goals. To start, protect yourself by understanding when to sell stocks to minimise losses and optimise gains. Second, prepare to profit from shifts in the market. I suggest seeking counsel from a financial consultant or other expert.

True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diversify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of 550k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.

Hey Humphrey for the S&P500 there's also a relatively new one out there, SPLG. It's pretty much identical to the other ETFs but the expense ratio is 0.02%. Not a huge difference but hey.

I did buy some SPLG but I will be going back to VOO as my S&P 500 fund. SPLG underperformed VOO YTD (not sure why) and also when I was buying spread for SPLG was way wider than for VOO and it will take years to compensate for this initial loss when buying. Both ETFs are great though, I just do think VOO will return slightly more than SPLG despite higher ER
