the key to successful investing is to know that good companies does not mean its a good investment. Price you pay matters. Most investors I have noticed dont understand this so they lose a lot of money or underperform the market and also doing options which is stupid. Also seeing your stock fall is a very important skill to have and especially having hte ability to buy when it happens. Also understanding that companies who can grow FCF and how they allocate that money matters. Perfect example being Autozone, Oriely Auto Parts, NVR,etc.
