100k followers is weird when there are channels who cut/paste wiki to audio have 1m followers. These two are the real deal, they tell the story and the facts and the nuances, use analogues, use humour, I've watched a few of these now and i have such a clear picture in my head of the events, its come to life, i can recall them because you told them in a way that i learn, the other channels don't do that, i watch them but i never retain the info because it was not memorable. So thankyou for the education and entertainment, this is now my favourite channel on youtube.

The fact that Henry V had 80% of his troops as archers , is so remarkable and almost revolutionary, even though those archers had proved themselves as terribly lethal during the period of the Hundred Years War that had already had passed , so their value was already screamingly obvious, but I still believe it is almost revolutionary to man 80% of your army as archers .

The other reason for 80% archers, is they get paid less than a man-at-arms, (They have the pay books) so the wages for the Army are less than they would be. War is expensive, and paying your troops is most of the expense part.

The subject matter is really interesting and the detail is good. My only problem is the way u guys joke around while talking about really harrowing and gruesome subjects. For me it detracts from the overall mood. I want all the bloody details which u sometimes leave out. I wish you guys would speak in such a light hearted and jovial tone when describing things like the battle of Agincourt, Custer’s last stand etc. I listen while I’m out exercising but just wish you’d be more serious when discussing the heavy stuff. For me at least it would make it more engaging.
