Hundreds of German Soldiers, Military Vehicles Arrive at Lithuanian NATO Base

A German army convoy of 130 soldiers and 60 vehicles reached Lithuania on Thursday, bringing almost half of the planned reinforcements for the country's German-led NATO battlegroup amid fears of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
U.S. President Joe Biden said Thursday there was now every indication Russia was planning to invade Ukraine, including signs Moscow was carrying out a false flag operation to provide a pretext, after Ukrainian government forces and pro-Moscow separatists traded fire.
The reinforcements will arrive until the end of the week, bolstering German forces in Lithuania by more than 350 soldiers and 100 vehicles, according to battlegroup commander Lieutenant-Colonel Daniel Andrae.

It is actually called the Iron Cross (Eisernes Kreuz). Even though it originates from the old prussian Black Cross. Besides that, the information is still correct. Many people on the internet mix it up with the Balkenkreuz (beam/bar cross) since it looks similar and was used as an emblem on german ww2 vehicles. However these are two different symbols and the iron cross is only controversial for those, whose knowledge of german history is limited to ww2.

They always have been. The people in Eastern Europe (excluding Poland) have been very happy when we liberated them from the Soviet Union. Ukrainian, Estonian, Lithuanian etc. women and children were all cheering and giving the German soldiers flowers when they invaded in ww2. There are videos about this, look it up. German soldiers have been in Lithuania for 5 years. They help to protect NATO's external borders and patrol the airspace with their Eurofighters. Now the troops are only being increased slightly due to the situation in Ukraine. A greater increase in troop levels could only escalate the conflict further. Furthermore, Germany sent 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine. 2700 SAMs are to follow.

Thats not a Marder. Its a M113 Variant named "ABRA" which means "Artillerie Beobachtungsradar". Here in the newer Version "RATAC-S". This Vehicle is used as Artillery Recon in the German Army. Greetings from Germany

Yes German troops are exactly what Russia wants to see on theyr border, it's not like last time this happened in 1939 20miljion Soviets died...this is exactly the reason why Russia didn't want NATO in Ukraine
