Smart move by Grozer, dipping His toes into the shallow end where most Archers begin the sport. Great review thanks Armi.

I like all the Grozer base bows I've tried so far. Bashkir, Roman, and Turkish. The quality of the materials and workmanship is good, and the performance better than you would expect from solid glass limbs. A good starter bow, and not a bad place to stay if you like it. I've outshot people w modern recurves and longbows at 3D matches with my base bows. None of my G4 Bashkirs (I've had 3; just ordered two more based on this review) had horn tips, so I painted them black to look like yours. They did have a cross-grain hardwood plug for reinforcement. He calls it Bashkir, but it looks more Magyar/Hungarian. Bashkirs live in Russia. Russian 'Bashkir lancer-archers made it all the way to Paris in 1814. At that time they were using the later Ottoman/Tartar type bow.

I've wondered how his base bows perform, quite nice! And for the price not to bad! I tried to order a base Tartar from him a while ago but he said he isn't making it anymore to bad I think they would sell well now! Fiberglass has gotten better now than ever. Thanks for another great review I love these reviews on beginners bows so we can get more people into traditional archery! Thank you Armin!

From the reading I managed to do on forums, they used to be 32" recommended but then a lot of failures in his older bows started to happen to the recommendation went down to 31" and there doesn't seem to have been as many issues anymore.

I plan on getting a Hun bow at some point, but me being me, I wanna get it from someone from that region. So I've been rewatching a lot of your Grozer videos and now a new one. Big hype. Update on my next bow, my Kheshig should be here by Friday barring any delays. Super hyped. Thank you Armin for showing off that bow so much, I otherwise would have never known about it or Alibow. It's my second bow from Alibow. Looks like this bow shoot beautifully, Grozer is a master of his craft, and you display his craft like a true artist of archery. Great video Armin.

Great review of an appealing fiberglass bow! My first 2 commercial bows are 2 Grózer Base: Hungarian and Scythian (followed by biocomposite and laminated Grózer bows). Both are impressive for fiberglass bows. The Hungarian Base has surprizingly low hand shock, despite being 65 at 28 and shooting with about 530 grain arrows. Of course, these bows are not speed demons, but very pleasing to shoot with.

Grozers Mongolian base bow was my first "horsebow". Unfortunately I didn't do my research and got it as a 65# draw. Still can't shoot it thumb draw but, is enjoyable with a 3 finger draw nonetheless.

Interesting I've noticed that the "made in hungary" siyahs are more rectangular than the "made in china" hungarian bows. Are they more historical to be rectangular?
@magyararcher74783 жыл бұрын
Yes in my country we have a standard what the original Hungarian bow looked like, that they found in graves. Size sometimes changes shorter or longer but the shape always the same. The siyas usually pretty long and rectangular in shape.

In the past you have always added "its good for a fiberglass bow" for fiberglass bows, but never it's poor for a composite ... I feel that this is just a good bow ... the material its made from doesn't really matter. i seem to remember, much more expensive, composite bows performing less well. A well crafted bow will perform despite what the materials are... I like this one ... good length, looks great and powerful too ... and at that price ... a bargain.

That bow is just to long for my taste. My reflex deflex longbow is 54 inches. I am not hating on the design and I am new to horse bows. To me a short Turkish is my preference. Tatar would be my second choice. Arif Budiman sent me a message yesterday that my tiny bows were ready. 33 inches strung might be to short but, I like a challenge!
