Nagyon szórakoztató a videó! Bocsi 😇 De igazából, nagyon hasznos volt. Annak nagyon jó példa, hogy általában a szótár nem meséli az egész sztorit. Még mindig mondom, hogy "nagyon szórakoztató volt a ...." ... nehéz, hogy rossz szokásokat feladni.

Haha :D Igen, teljesen megértem. Kell az agyunknak valami, ami hasonló, aminek értjük a logikáját. Én még mindig képtelen vagyok spanyolul úgy rendelni, hogy "me das...?" mert annyira udvariatlannak hangzik a magyar fordítás a fejemben, hogy nem bírom elviselni 😂 Majd egyszer lehet túlteszem magam rajta, addig rendelek máshogy. I was wondering about "Fun" in Magyar nyelv too. On TV, mostly US Dubbed Series and Films, I often hear "nagyon jó" and "oriási". What do You say? Or did I missunderstood something?

I’d just say “nagyon jó”. “Óriási” sounds good too, it’s just something I wouldn’t say personally but I know people who would ☺️

@HungarianwithSziszi A few days ago, I watched Kinchem on DVD with English Subs, and at one Point the Main Female Character said "Vices" and Subtitles wrote "Funny". What do You think about that? Did You ever see that Magyar film? I was surprised they only put "12" as an Age Requirement. I thought they will put "18", or at least "16"; sincee the Main Male Character changes Women often until he ends up with the Main Female Character; and even visits "Ladies of the Night". And woulden't that Dance at the Bal be a "Botrány tánc" in 19th Century Hungary? Thank You for Your Videos. They are very Helpful for learning Hungarian.

I assume it also probably sounds bad to tell others to enjoy themselves. xD In French, there isn't a direct translation for the word fun.. the best translations sort of mean "It was entertaining," or "It was nice". I also haven't found a translation for "random" in other languages, although I don't know enough Hungarian to know if this pattern applies to it as well. The best translation is generally "That was unexpected". Nagyon köszönöm a videót. :)

Találomra or véletlenszerű(en) are the best hungarian translations to the word of random.

Yeah, haha no, it would just be "érezd jól magad" :D It's interesting to know this could be more complex in French too. Honestly, a lot of people - at least my generation - just say "random". Of course there are translations like "véletlenszerűen" but it depends on the context. If it's a casual conversation with a friend, I'd never use this, I'd just say random. And there are situations when the Hungarian equivalent doesn't work at all and it just sounds weird and you can just say "random". Köszi, hogy megnézted és írtál 🥰

These don't really help without examples and these can not be used in every situation when you'd say "random" in English. Especially when it's about the spoken, colloquial language. For example, "felhívott valami random szám" - no one would say "véletlenszerű szám", this is just random. The number of situations is very limited when the Hungarian translation sounds natural.
