Wow, that was amazing demonstration of skills and creativity. I never thought about double jumping the melee dash attack, or knew that the boss would try to shoot bombs on the ground. This shows how deep and thoughtful the game's boss encounters are. This is also one unique encounter to which I cannot think of anything similar in all the games I've played.

It really is. That's why at the start I said I'd been looking forward to it, because I really had been my whole master playthrough. It's a very unique boss and when you know the mechanics I find it so much fun.

Lol. I love this boss fight. It has a cool vibe and cool music. Plus it's well designed - once you learn the moves it's possible to consistently defeat the boss flawlessly without requiring luck to do it. I always appreciate boss encounters where that's the case.

Holy fuck this is so much harder on ng+. The strat of spamming the dash attack still worked tho. That was finally the run that got me the W. This might be the hardest boss in ng+ this took so long

You'll get it. This whole fight is really a counter-attack fight, where you need to counter while she's telegraphing an attack of her own. I parry a few times in this, but you can dodge left or right instead if you find the parry timing hard to get - I prefer to parry though because it gives me a rot ability. If you want to parry, I find anticipating her rush attacks based on her movement pattern gets me ready (you can see in the video when I can tell a rush is probably coming). I don't move the stick when I know I'm going to parry, I just stand still and get ready to press block when she's about 3/5 of the way to me. But better too early than too late, so you get a block instead of damage if you mistime it. Good luck!

But are the master level bosses, and the master level bosses in new game +, different? All my bosses (in master, new game +) have a phase in which they regenerate their life, but I don't see it in this videos... Anyway, very useful videos! after watching your video I defeated adira after 10 or 15 attempts (she also regenerated her health...)

Try to be patient and practice this fight. If you're not thinking about just trying to move on, this can be one of the most fun boss fights in the game. It's my favourite. I love the music , the sound, the build up, and once her counters are known, the entire fight is awesome.

Got this battle up next. "She's doing her Matrix move." LMFAO. I noticed in your expert video of this fight you said you never lock on. What do you mean by that? Are you referring to not locking your aim on her when trying to shoot an arrow?

Yes, as in pressing the stick in to lock onto her. I never use lock on at all. Additionally, I also have all camera options turned to off in the options settings. I find these fights much easier if I have complete control of where I'm looking and where I'm able to position the camera. For example, when she does her rush move, if you're locked on the camera will position itself behind you and make it really hard to see when to time the parry. But with camera options off and by not locking on, I can manually position the camera slightly to the side enabling me to see her move better and therefore make it easier to time the parry.

Lol I literally couldn’t beat this after like 20+ tries on “medium.” She kept beating my ass. I was trying to use all my moves on her but I kept running on of them and she just kept getting me. Eventually I gave up and had to go to easy mode and I beat her in one try. So annoying I had to do that but oh well 😂
