Hunter Herald 8 new parts and a set of seals

A few new parts for this Hunter stove as it was showing its age
A replacement baffle and bricks with a new set of door and glass seals was needed to make this stove a bit smarter.
There will be another video showing me fitting a new heatshield to the wooden lintel bringing it up to regs.

Hi great video,what are you using to chamfer the bricks please and is this the herald mark 1 stove? Mine also had a firebrick in the roof which has broken so I take it I should get the baffle plate that you replaced it with? Many thanks lance

Hello. You can change it to the new baffle or cut new ones from a vermiculite sheet. I put chamfers on with either a utility knife or sharp scraper 👌

@@thechimneyman-uk thank you very much, I have just ordered a metal throat plate but the guy thinks my stove is the herald 14 yet it is the same as yours?

@@farmershand892 Hunters are usually a bit of a pain to identify. Often the glass shape and size is a good indicator of what stove it is.
