The comment you read today from the woman who was on Mt. Hood resonated with me so much that I had to tell you my story. Every year we (my friends and family) would go to an event held on Mt. Hood down the road from Government Camp. It was a forest service area where we had permission to camp and have a Black Powder Rendevous. When the festivities were in full swing there was a lot of shooting (black powder rifles) and a ton of noise for the entire weekend. We had gotten up there a few days ahead of everyone else and the kids were being loud so I decided to take a walk up an old service road up the mountain just to have some quiet time. As I was walking up you heard all the birds and squirrels and bugs. Just normal forest noise. I continued to walk till I could no longer hear any sound from camp and found a huge stump on the side of the road to just sit on and listen to the forest. I stood on the stump for a few minutes looking down into a stand of trees below me too thick to see through and so I sat down and just listened. For a few minutes it was loud chatter from squirrels and birds but then it got quiet. It was the kind of quiet where even the wind stopped. For a second I thought have I lost my hearing? It was so silent I got a chill up my spine. As it continued I really felt like I was being watched and couldn't shake the feeling. Trying not to panic, I stood up still looking over the trees and called out "Ok, I am leaving now." When I got back on the road I wanted to break into a run but knew if it were an animal that could be dangerous so I walked slowly looking everywhere as I went. Near the bottom I started to hear the kids again and then the forest once again came alive with sounds. It really freaked me out and I didn't tell anyone when I got back to camp what had happened. I will also add that I grew up in and around the woods. My family were hunters and a large part of my childhood was in the forest and I was never spooked like I was that day. I, to this day have no idea what it was.

I don't know if I'm repeating myself Chris but when I was about 45 out in the country driving on the road oh, I found out later that a Bigfoot was sighted crossing a road right where I was driving and at the same time! Damn I wish I would have seen it. Another time when I was about 25 I was out walking on a lonely country road at dark and all of a sudden heard something following me, so I started walking faster and so did it so then I started jogging and so did it and then my adrenaline kicked in and I started to run like a bat out of hell taking large leaves. This lasted for maybe a quarter of a mile, it's still running after me and then it stopped. Glad whatever it was was not in a me and more or God knows what would have happened! This was in state of Ohio in Canton.😮 thanks so much Chris for all of your effort, longtime listener with many many paranormal stories I could tell.❤

Wow Debbie that’s strange, there was a very similar story exactly like yours on KZbin about 2 workers in a national park who took a rest or something and they said everything went dead quite and they where totally freaked out or in a trance and felt a bad presence! ( would love to find that post) isn’t a lot of the national parks sacred ground and they say there are “spirits” ?? I dunno 🤷‍♀️

I wonder why the creature didn’t grab the dressed -out deer? Hearing the sound of the creek reminds me that when I was a kid I used to play in the woods, fished in a little stream close by, later did long-distance bicycle riding, including riding across the USA, RV and tent camping , a bit of hiking, etc. I’m now 83 and realize that I have to get out and sit next to a creek at least one more time. What a calm and peaceful feeling it evokes.

Hi Chris, like Sharon 5784 my experience was on Mt Hood on the Burnt Lake Trail. It was November at dusk and we were about a half mile from our car. Everything was fine until we walked down to a creek. Then absolute terror. Like if a murderer was beating down your door with an axe. Right away the sound of a tree falling down. It was a calm misty day with no wind. Then we heard mumbling like someone was right behind you mumbling in your ear. And the strangest was the sound like talk radio in a car with the windows rolled up . There was noone up there. True wilderness at the start of winter. I then realized if our vehicle didnt start it would be a six hour hike into Welches. Happily it started but you couldnt give me a million dollars to go on the Burnt Lake Trail. The only thing that made me think Sasquatch was the tree coming down. Someone said to me Oh you met the god Pan who panic is named after. I don't know what it was but it hated us and I'm glad neither of us was alone. I was 59 at the time and had been hiking and camping for many years and never experienced anything like it before.

Chris, my wife and I have never had an encounter with anything out of the normal. One reason for that may be that our idea of "roughing it" is waiting for the power to be restored after a storm. Where we live, we see fox, rabbits, skunks, deer, turkey, raccoons, opossums and sometimes hear coyotes at night. Nevertheless we both enjoy watching your videos and never miss a one. We love the delivery, when you're telling a story. We find you to be a very respectful person that puts a lot of thought into creating your content. I personally really enjoy the followup conversations with people after you've told their story. The fact that you love and honor your parents is just the icing on the cake. 😉 Keep up the good work Chris. As long as you keep pumping them out, we'll be watching.

Where Tony and friends had their experience is my "backyard" . Camped fished and hunted this area for over 50 years, and still do. My brother , who was the biggest skeptic in the world, had his own experience in 1969 that was written up in John Greene's book " Year of the Sasquatch". While he and some other relatives were working on building the Big Horn Damn at Nordegg Alberta. His experience changed him forever. I've had two experiences of my own in this same area. I can assure you the Hairy Man has always been there and always will be. We leave them alone and they leave us alone. I made a drawing of what he saw many years ago, and it's quite similar to Tony's drawing.

They are suppose to protect us from harm. I believe they scare us out of the forest/woods to protect us and protect their family. When they do there could be something around that would for sure kill us or hurt us. Or they have kids in the area they are protecting the kids from us and us from their kids. (If you ask I’ll explain more on the last statement) i think they also scare us for entertainment and they just don’t understand how debilitating it is for us to be scared by them. Yes the comments section is fun to read 😊 I really enjoy your show Chris and am just now 30 years later sharing my encounter because I just don’t give a rip if people don’t believe me. Some of my encounter were so bizarre at the time but after learning more and hearing other peoples encounters mine was not so crazy and far fetched after all. It did make me scared to go deep in the woods because it’s always in the back of my mind now and when I was younger I was a lot braver but at 59 I’m a lot more careful and fearful of the woods and being in real remote areas…. Sometimes it drives my husband crazy.

Such a great channel! I live in Minerva Ohio and have heard tons of stories over the years! Never experienced anything myself but I am a believer! One of my gold prospecting buddies had and encounter about 15 years ago while they were staying in a cabin in Michigan. He woke during the night and immediately heard heavy breathing coming from the window next to the bed. He slowly looked up and out to see a large dark figure staring at him about a foot away outside the window. He said the window was around 7' off the ground so it was at least 8' tall! As quick as it happened the creature let out a deep grunt type noise and was gone. He said every hair on his body was raised and the scare was unlike anything he ever experienced. Just like many he was hesitant to even tell this story because of so many "ya right its not true" reactions. Take care love the outdoor story sharing, Keep up the great work! ~MrTim4Gold

My grandmothers sister in law lived in northern BC on the rail line as her husband was a train engineer. They lived in a small house miles out of the nearest town. One day she was in the kitchen when her little dog went crazy barking. She looked out the kitchen window and saw a 7 or 8 foot tall gorilla type man who trampled the 8 foot deer fence around the garden. It was eating her lettuce and other vegetables and stood for a moment munching away. It eventually left due to the dog barking as it was at the back door keeping his mistress safe. She moved into town the next day and refused to stay at the rail line house alone.

Hi Chris, We love the way you tell stories so naturally. Thrice my wife & I have experienced weird situations while camping in the deep BLM woods of Oregon. We own recreational property in southern central Oregon located between hundreds of millions of acres of national forest. The Crater Lake side (Willamette national forest) & the Klamath Marsh Basin side (Fremont-Wenima national forest). During one trip with our friends there was a ton of activity. We heard a loud scream at dusk that at first sounded like a man, but then became so loud & animalistic at the end. The entire forest went quiet & all of us were in confusion & shock for a few seconds. This scream came from the Crater Lake side of the forest. The rest of that night was normal, until the following night around 2am we awoke to Coyotes on the Crater Lake side of the forest again & our neighbors dog a few acres down both barking/yipping/howling at something. It lasted for about a minute but woke 3 of us up. We still have no clue what was out there those two nights, but nothing else has ever happened like that down in that area, other than seeing the occasional deer, rabbits & wafting animal smells. The 2nd incident once again occurred around dusk surrounded by BLM land our near Mt. Jefferson and out of nowhere, a loud human like animal scream was heard in the distance. One of the locals at the store told us he had heard the scream too & said it was Bigfoot. The creepy part is we didn't even bring the scream up, he did. Our last experience happened in the deep woods out near the central Oregon coast when we were camping in our trailer & had pebble sized rocks thrown at it for a good 5-10 minutes, on and off. It could have been humans, but it was pitch black outside & was late around 2am. We love what you do for those that have unexplainable experiences in the deep woods & elsewhere, keep it up! Thank you, The Beaulieus

Good scary story. I still do not know how you dare hiking alone out in those wilderness areas. The only time I have ever had the feeling of being watched was in the very stunning and remote area of Badlands National Park in South Dakota up on Sheep Mesa. I was young and more fearless back then and I was alone up there and could see for miles....but I had this nagging feeling that I was being watched. I did not stay long. I later told a Native American (probably Sioux) ranger where I had been. He looked at me with a very serious expression and said, 'We never go up there without a rifle'. There is a road in the Badlands called 'Bigfoot Road'. Every time I drive out that way I think of how remote that area is.

I've never seen a sasquatch, but I have heard things coming from the woods at night. I did come across a huge canine track once while hiking. It was about seven inches wide. About that time, I realized how quite the woods were. This was a place not far from my home, so I knew those woods. I have never felt spooked in the woods, except that one time. My cousin and my uncle both had similar experiences in those woods years prior.

Been buying gear all month and planning. In Santa Barbara, CA so lots of amazing sports within a few hours of here. I can’t wait to camp and then backpack alone/with wife after that. Great stories and channel. Have a great week! - P

Fear probably takes the thought of getting a picture or video right out of their heads is what I’m thinking. All they want to do is get as far away as possible as quickly as possible. As fast as these creatures seem to catch up with them even when they are far away; taking time to take a photo would mean they might not get away.

Always a great video Chris, love your channel. 30 years ago a friend was researching the abandoned Erie Railroad through the Black Dirt Region of southwestern Orange County in New York. He felt he was being watched through the Greycourt area of the r.o.w. and said he'd never go back again. After that I met a member of the Hunter family who are the first and oldest black farming family ever in Orange County, N.Y.. I told him about my friends nervous hike in that same area where his family has always lived and he said very nonchalantly that it was Bigfoot. His said his family has stories as old as time from Bigfoot running through their campfires during hunting and fishing trips. Knocking on the windows of their house. Chickens vanishing. Leaving red hair on branches and tree trunks. He said it traveled the abandoned right of way from Chester to Maybrook, N.Y.. He also mentioned ufo activity in that area and blue flashing light like lightning but without storms. I haven't heard a word about that area since.

P-22 was a big puma who crossed several freeways and made its home in Griffith Park for about 10 years. He roamed freely and became a celebrity of sorts. ❤ he also inspired the Annenberg Wildlife Crossing to allow more animals to not get killed by cars.
