Awesome, love the display you made with that! Crazy coincidence, I also found a note wrapped up, but inside of a Spanish CETME C parts kit cleaning kit tube. It had a short, sweet message on it. That I "was to clean this rifle like I clean cxxx." 😅

Hello my friend, that beautiful done display piece is awesome. I really like it, and that stock could be fixed if that's the only one you can get, it going to take some doing but it can be done in a " Steam Box" it's a way of impregnating the wood/stock with water/steam, and then applying weight to straighten the stock. That if you want to go thru that trouble. I've seen it done with my own eyes. I was amazed to see it done. Hopefully RTG will make it right fir you. Good luck and Happy New Years my friend

In 1966, age 18, I purchased a Mauser 98 in 7.92mm through Sears & Roebuck, I was disappointed that it was a Spanish Mauser. Like yours mine was made at LaCoruna (?) in about 1954. There was no problem with it and I used it several times in Idaho. No deer were armed during my operation of it, not that I didn't try. Thanks. Narragansett Bay

Many English sporting shotguns have a cast or bend in the stock to bring the central rib into line when shouldering the piece,your rifle has a recoil lug in front of the magazine so there should not be too much stress on the stock at the rear of the action. You could also try steaming the stock then applying weight to counter the bend.

I thought the same thing about the nice shotguns and was wondering if it might work out. My only concern was the $200 price tag and no mention of weather damage. I'll give them a chance to replace it and if they wont I'll try out a few things. Thanks for the tips!

Don't worry about the bent wooden stock. It looks like the portion that the barreled action rests in is straight, which is all that matters. When you rest your cheek on the buttstock and aim down the sights, your reflexes and body will naturally compensate for the bend.

I took my Hunter’s Lodge FR-7 hunting this week. Didn’t get to use it to harvest a deer but it was fun to take it afield. Running 125gr Nosler BT’s at about 2500fps.

Man I’ve been debating to get FR8 from hunters lodge. I love the price! I did the RTI russian roulette challenge instead and got an awesome good condition Carcano in 7.35x51, a trash total trash Italian vetterli in 10.4x47r I don’t know what to do with it now and a decent Steyr in 8x50mmR mannlicher. I think want a FR8 now!
