It is still a sony action cam but an earlier model. I have never used a Gopro as I reckon they are not as good as a sony and I do like the first person shooter angle as well.

Thanks mate. I do like the 30/06 but it is a bit over gunned especially for half grown pigs. The 308 or 270 is perfect but I also have a 30/30 and it is also perfect for pigs. Years ago I had a 243 and it also sorted out all sized pigs. Come to think of it my missus at the time used a 44 mag lever action and it too was great on pigs. If you only had one choice then it has to be about knockdown power and also availability of ammo in the middle of nowhere so probs 308.

Mate, I have never hunted in the West but I suppose your best bet is to log onto the parks and wildlife site as they might have contacts. Otherwise google hunting in WA, good luck with it.

more good piggen.... in four days we toke 100 plus footballs out of a wooded fenced area down from a friends farm...we cant shoot rifles in that area. we shot air rifles all night long two nights. pigs cant see red night vision lamp (looks grey to them) but coyotes can...they run like hell when they see it. those three eagles ate really well the entire time. one tree had five carcases hnaging from branches. must be allot of open land in aussy land.

Yes mate you need a shooters license and the firearms need to be registered and obviously permission to hunt on the land.

My father is a 270 man and he really lays them out. The 270 is a great flat shooting and hard hitting calibre mate.

You are right mate and I do have a good safety catch on the ruger. I suppose that is how dad does it and I just grew into doing it too.
