The incompetence of the authorities is astounding. To this day, They release violent criminals back out on the street, and face no consequences for their inactions and stupidity. If people were held accountable for their actions or inactions, This could have turned out differently. Politicians, Police , Coroners & people in the Judicial system should be held accountable for their stupidity.

The police have no say in sentencing, or releasing of prisoners, nor do the coroners, who just deal with the dead victims. Judges can only give the sentences laid down by law, and also have no say in the release of prisoners, that is down to the parole board.

And I thought the American "injustice" system was broken. I watch a lot of true crime documentaries, and am continually offended by the number of crimes commited by repeat offenders. The police did their job, the rest of the system was a complete failure. Unfortunately no system is perfect but when holes are found, effort should be made to plug them, otherwise we continue to sink.😢

40:32 Sorry, you're wrong. You CAN change the law. And silly laws that belong to hundreds of years ago must change to suit today's society. A good example is when Ann Ming worked very hard to change the law of double jeopardy in Britain. The law had been in force for over 800 years. When the murderer of her daughter walked free, she decided to tackle the system, wrote a letter to Jack Straw and eventually the law was changed. Sometimes It looks that the laws exist to protect the criminals.
@MetteC5
@MetteC5 6 ай бұрын
When he said 'you can't change the law' he obviously meant that the police can't change the law. The UK is a democracy where lawmaking, hence law changing, is reserved to certain public authorities following strict procedure, with accountability and legitimacy safeguards. And no, Ann Ming didn't change the law: her brave and persistent actions prompted the law to be changed by the aforementioned authorities. Crucial difference, that anyone living in a democratic nation should know.

Good question. In a nutshell, bad audio mix in post production. It is also possible the narrators audio was recorded at extremely low level, so no matter how high you push the volume on playback, it will only get as high as it can get.what I have done in this instance is pull all the other Audio tracks to match the low level of the narrator.

He won't reveal where the missing body parts are because he is still victimizing the women and their families. As long as he is the only one who knows where they are, he retains control, which he feels is power. Probably why he pled guilty. He may not be free to continue killing, but his motivation for killing was to control his victims. So, to him its a win. Trying to convice him that the grieving families should be given closure and he owes them the dignity of being able to put their loved ones to rest, is only giving him satisfaction from knowing he has the choice of causing their pain, or he could be the only to bring relief and an end to this chapter of their life stories. Condolences and prayers for peace to the victim's families. The body is only a vehicle for our spirit to navigate a physical world. This evil man has nothing. Love can never be murdered or controlled by one that tries to destroy it. True power is to never lose the ability to love and be loved.
