Huntington Beach officials investigate "sheen" spotted in the ocean near the pier.

Lifeguards kept people out of the water Friday morning as a "sheen" in the ocean was investigated. The ocean advisory was lifted by the afternoon.

Terrible reporting. You started with “Possibly it’s a Oil leak from pipeline?” Or at least hinted that to be true to make it BREAKING NEWS then seconds later ‘ A Boat very nearby this SHEEN sank and OIL & GAS floating to surface. Just start the story with that SMALL BOAT SANK LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING WE SEE A SHEEN OF OIL & GAS due to sunken boat and damage to engine & oil lines. Clean up crews are in route and soon beaches will re open ! BAM nice and clean story . No drama!

Small boat. Very little gas & oil so it’ll not be an issue but, yes hurts ocean and causes increased stress on ocean life. Boats do sink . Accidents happen
