Best commentary of the year Dignics 09: Unbelievable amount of money for an average rubber❤
@gab5012 Жыл бұрын
That's honestly not true, the only reason they consistently bash on butterfly products so much is because they don't sell them, but you can listen to them on the rest of the products they review. They sell very little Butterfly products and mainly sell their competitors, however butterfly products are so popular they can compete with all their brands at the same time 🤣. It may not be worth the price but it is the quality is arguably that bit better than the rest, Butterfly (and DHS tbh) are not the most popular brands purely because of marketing they actually make good products. As someone who has played with hurricane 3 for 2 years and recently switched to 09c for 6 months, I disagree with everything they said about it and while I understand where they are coming from at times I am it is clear they where extra negative on purpose. I have had no trouble touching or serving short and flicks are easy, counter attacking is very good close to far from table with high margin for error regardless of my distance from the table and it's less bouncy than some of the other rubbers listed here, with great dwell time and control but also top end power. Finally the claim that some booster should be used on dignics and that it doesn't give enough power otherwise is total bullcrap, dignics rubbers are both catapulty and hard and have a lot of spin potential as well as mroe than enough speed. Dignics gives more than enough power with booster according to timo boll he uses 09c over chinese tacky rubbers because they he doesn't need to boost it. Not to mention that it doesn't even matter if all the top players boosted butterfly rubbers because literally every top chinese player boosts hurricane 3 so there is no difference.

@@gab5012 that's a detailed review. I like it. Thank you. Most of the high rating players in my tt club use butterfly rubbers. There are a few used hurricane3 but the rubbers are all national/province version. That's overblown in my opinion because national version that pro player uses are both much less tacky and much softer. Mind you that Chinese pro player also well known to use additives to make the rubber characteristic closer to that of European rubber (Softer and catapult effect after boosters). Actually Dignics 09c trying to emulate that and according to some, it's actually has done better that H3 National.

What do you have to say about Tuttle VIP 2018 blue sponge...? I perceive this rubber as a hybrid between modern european rubbers with relatively soft spring sponge (that gives a high throw angle...), and traditional chinese rubbers. The sponge apears to be of the same type as Tenergy, Xiom and others. It has a bit coarser structure and looks and feels as a modern spring sponge... and I have never seen that combination before. It has at low price (16 Euro...!), so I bought a couple of rubbers to try them out, and I have used them ever since, and I think that they give really good value for the money. It's important that you keep them clean, but that isn't specific for this stycky rubber. That goes for all of them if you want the rubber to keep the "bite". Does anyone have a comment to these rubbers...?

Great stuff. I played h3neo on fh and h2neo on bh on an off+ blade, way more control than I get with tensors. It feels consistent all the time. I have been trying to use tensors recently with varying degrees of success, I tend to play hard or drop back, so the neo rubbers seem better suited to all my switching and changing, but tensors seem to require so much more finesse and seem less forgiving. I have used both Rakza Z and Bluegrip C2, and they're not at all alike. Rakza Z is so sticky it can pick the ball off your palm, and hold it there. What's even more impressive, it will still do this after you've been using it for two months. Chinese sticky rubbers generally lose most of their stickiness after 2-3 weeks - my theory is that the stickiness is due to a thin layer of adhesive applied to the surface by that thin plastic sheet you have to peel off the first time you play with the rubber, and like all adhesive layers, it will wear off with use. Rakza Z uses some other technology to make it sticky, and this stickiness doesn't wear off. Bluegrip C2 is hardly sticky at all - it can't pick up the ball. I find it plays quite differently, I have to use a more open racket face when looping from below table height. It's also a little bit faster. If I had to choose between the two I'd use Rakza Z - I find it easier to play with. I tried Hurricane 3 some years ago, it was way too slow for me. And Dignics 09 is just way too expensive.
@iskandartaib Жыл бұрын
@@mrcadoia Yeah, the various H3 variants are slow, that's the reason the Chinese like it. Lots of control over the table but you can generate lots of power if you HAVE the power. A lot of us don't, so it's too slow for us. Even with the Neo sponge, and even boosted (which the Chinese players do all the time) it's slow. C2 is faster, but so far I have not found any rubber (including Tenergy 05) that I have had trouble controlling at low speeds. I think the reason for this is I use a ALL+ all-wood 5 ply blade (Sanwei M8). If you're using a fast blade that could be the reason why you find it hard to control in the short game. Incidentally, even the cheap $5 Chinese rubbers like 729, Reactor Corbor and Kokutaku 868 are faster than H3.

hi mate, I tried Rozena on my BH of Primorac, and MXP on forehand, not so good on both sides...not recommeded...I felt that it was not solid in the racket when I hit ball, too bouncy etc....Then I read some Chinese articles that said Primorac is better with "sticky" rubbers on both sides, like Timo Boll used Primorac+D09C on both sides and won the EU champion in 2021...Later I tried Primorac+Bluegrip C1 on both FH/BH (just wanted to try super hard rubber with fast blade lol, C1 is harder than C2), it was actually super good feeling, easy to control shot ball, much solid hitting feelling, and when I chop/cut the ball (back spin) is so powerful that my opponent sometimes can't handle it, the return just dropped the net.....But the only problem with Bluegrip C1 is too heavy, my total weight is now 210g and it hurt my wrist/elble......I am now thinking change to another sticky rubber, maybe NEO H3, I don't know...I just don't know if I need to boost it, never used before....But Bluegrip C1 is just too heavy..

Did you guys boost any or play all unboosted? Thanks for the content!

Thanks for the question! For that review we boosted Hurricane 3 Neo with one layer of Haifu booster. As for our inventory, we boost it Chinese rubbers as well

Is the chopper (sorry I don't know his name)playing with the same Neotec Voodoo Classic blade when using long pimples on his backhand?
@alexandervuhka56783 жыл бұрын
Hi, no I play the Voodoo Classic only when I block or feed multiballs. My normal blade, on which I use pimples is the Stiga Defence Pro. The Voodoo Classic is a bit fast for my defensive game.

Здравствуйте. У меня вопрос. На hurricane3 neo нанесён бустер с завода! когда бустер выветривается, вы повторно бустер наносите?

Thank you for the well constructed review @tabletennis11 What thickness of rubbers do you usually use for your reviews ?

It took me four hours of training to adapt to sticky rubbers. You forgot to say that every Chinese player, who is using a Hurricane 3 is still boosting the rubber. It's very clear that you don't like Butterfly as a brand, but I have tested all four of these rubbers as well and I strongly disagree with what you said in this video about the 09C. You really gotta swing hard with that thing unlike you did in that video. If you want effortless power I'd recommend the Victas Triple Double Extra.

Hi guys, nice video, it's always cool to see these comparisons Alex, what's the version of hurricane do you use on your backhand? I've been looking for a while for a 1.8mm hurricane and I could'nt find anywhere, is it any Nittaku version?

Only just seen this video. Great review as always. Just brought Rakza Z and Hurricane III Neo, and my new bat (Yasaka Sweden Extra) from you guys. It just arrived today, looking forward to playing with it. Ps. Great service, arrive within 3 days of ordering to the UK. Pretty damn good price too!

Surprised you didn't add the omega 7 sticky version in this review.
