Two my grandsons are lineman sent two different places .please pray for lineman. They may not be back to North caronlina for few weeks .one mountain here other was sent south Carolina. Love my grandsons worry about them out working lineman job .

Those are some of my HEROES. I kid you not. Truckers, linemen, roofers, plumbers, tree trimmers, dump truck drivers - all of them are what keep America put together. Without them, we'd all be living in caves by candlelight.

Praise God! You are very blessed indeed!! Helene was 100 miles off the coast here in Holiday/Tarpon Springs (west of Tampa). Many folks just three miles west of me along the coastal waterways sustained devastating damage to their homes. So sad to see so many families who are displaced and searching for shelter. Other than a small amount of debris in the yard, a blown out dormer louver and two full days without power, water and internet, I too am truly grateful and blessed beyond measure. And yes, there is another storm brewing in the Gulf. Too early to predict the exact path, but meteorologists are stating it should not be as big as Helene. Praying it will dissipate at sea and no one will be affected!! Thank you for the update - I've been praying for you!! ❤

Praise the Lord. That is good news on your Florida home. So sad for all the folks adversely affected by the storm and flooding. I used to think Indiana was pretty boring but I'm very thankful that all we get from hurricanes is rain and some wind. We are pretty safe up here - except in tornado season. We were SO blessed to only lose power for most of one day! Our friends lost all their crops due to a delayed harvest and the financial loss of that, plus equipment is gonna be tough. As far as I know, everyone in our family is safe, here in Tennessee and in the Tampa area, PRAISE GOD. Our church is still sending out disaster relief supplies by the truckload and one of my schools is planning a drive for necessary supplies to those affected. It's amazing to see how the Holy Spirit moves people to be the hands and feet of Jesus when it's needed so very much. I'm so happy your house and neighbors are safe! ~Rogersville, TN 🧡

I live in East Tenn but I live in Knoxville. I have been looking at pictures from the Little Pigeon River. Bridges are gone. They are missing a lot of people in the area. The areas I have seen pictures of are only 75 miles. up the road. My daughter worked on a bridge last week in Unicoi county putting down stripes on the bridge and the bridge it's no longer there. It is heartbreaking to see because of many of these families are already poverty stricken and could not afford any kind of insurance. Please put them on your prayer list.

The government is sending out notices for applications for disaster relief from this hurricane. There is an online application for disaster assistance if your insurance doesn't cover losses. For renters and homeowners, put into the search box, disaster assistance dot gov. I got a notice today from Marco Rubio's office (I'm in Florida) to start the application. I did not request it. Any state that has suffered damage from Helene should be covered under federal disaster assistance.

God bless those linemen AND their families.🙏🏼❤️They work long hours and some are away from their states and families for a very long time❤ Elizabeth, I’d really think seriously about have a tree crew “ top” some of the live oak so the wind won’t t push it around causing it to crack in half or fall down. We had almost 20 feet topped out of a huge tree out back because of the tornados we get around here in NE Oklahoma. and just high winds alone made it sway and it’s close to our home and would make a direct hit if it fell. 😮 the tree came back full of leaves this Spring👍🏻😁

I can say the regular weather down there has been so good for your Health. For you to go on all the travels the past 2 months is just wonderful. If you stay I the cold weather I don’t think it would be healthy. So thankful.

I’m glad everything is ok with you guys!! I’m in Central South Carolina… no damage to our house either. We still don’t have power and no idea when it will be back on. We are very thankful that we are ok. So many people can’t say the same thing. They have verified two tornadoes around us possibly more. I know they had issued 62 tornado warnings for our area during the storm. We got hit pretty bad and they weren’t expecting it.. Feeling very blessed.😟

Great to hear all is well! My heart is also breaking for anyone facing these great losses. I lost my home in Superstorm Sandy and between the devastation and what you go through to get back on your feet it's mind boggling. I feel so bad for those who were not considered to be in a flood zone and have no flood insurance. I pray they get help!

I am glad your property survived without a scratch. Bill, it might be time to put up shutters, but at the same time it could signal to squatters that nobody is home. Although you do have neighbors and those cameras, so it might be worth looking into. Now onto my next comment. I think the hurricanes might be one of Joes few accomplishments. A couple of years ago, he accidentally spilled the beans and said THEY were going to use technology to create more adverse weather conditions. Yeah, they need to promote CLIMATE CRINGE for their GREED new deal energy policies. Thats all I will say about that. Anyway, I hope you can find ways to protect your home.

Good to see your report because i was wondering how your place was in Florida. In 97 I was in Asheville, NC looking at property, thank goodness I didn't find any I could afford. how horrible, I feel for those people. and others as well. I see 84 reported have been killed in this storm.
