And that boardwalk was just rebuilt this summer. I was walking on it wearing my "Free Hugs" t-shirt just 2 weeks prior to Ian's landfall. I hope everyone down there is safe now. I'll be coming back next spring for a beach trip & next summer for multiple beach days.

Thanks for the video. My wife and I were on vacation at Surfside and had to cut it short and get out before it hit. Just ate at that restaurant at 3:40 just 48 hours before it hit

It's going to take years, if not decades, to rebuild the dunes lost all up and down the Grand Strand from Pawley's Island to the Little River jetty.

use to live in surfside 2 blocks from the surfside pier 13 ave n. pier has had some damage lost some of it 4 years ago:( miss the grand strand loved it

We have massive inflation, wide open borders and a President (and VP) that can’t form a coherent sentence! We need to keep that money at home.. I hate that there is a war happening, I know the damage it causes, I lost a brother in 2012 on his 5th tour of duty… it’s sad that it’s happening, but we have people to help at home! Plus, we really have no idea where all of that money is really going!!!!! I’m sure a nice chunk is landing in various bank accounts because the ones at the top don’t give a damn about any of us!!
