Um, I never knew of ANY Weather Reporters who outright lies. Weather changes. The Weather Reporters try to give you as much info as possible. As much as we would like to blane them, they cannot control the weather or mother nature. Without them, you would never know about this. @@ccuellar6212

Yes. I was born and raised in South Florida. I moved to Orlando two years ago and we haven’t had a storm this big hit since the 90s when Andrew hit. I can remember how devastating Andrew was and the eye of Andrew hit Homestead. You are right it turned last minute. To all my fellow Floridians, I know were used to hurricanes, but don’t take this lightly.

Also. WFLA’s in house model that’s literally been spot fucking on for the last 3 hurricanes still shows it hitting directly through Tampa Bay so we will have to wait and see. I think we will know more at 11pm or even possibly at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="555">9:15</a> when the next batch of spaghetti models come in

I said this would head a little south yesterday and I'm no meteorologist. Just a gut feeling...and those feelings are usually right. It annoyed me a little that no one was reporting what could happen if it DOES go south of Tampa. Ignoring the Port Charlotte area in all the news channels. And, apparently, still ignoring it.

Category 5 is my bet when it comes ashore. I hope it weakens, but chances are with that warm water it won't. Better to error on the side of caution on this one and get out ! Brick houses were totally destroyed during category 5 Andrew with gusts over 235 mph, it's not worth taking the chance.

It has the rest of today, all of Wednesday and most of Thursday to strengthen over very warm water. The experts are saying that we may need a new category 6 to describe this storm so it could very well land as a cat 5.

I say its better it hit a less populated area that is not inhabited rather than slam and flood over a Million
