I lived thought hurricane Andrew, it’s not the hurricane that’s devastating, it’s the aftermath. It’s august in Miami, no electricity, no food , no traffic lights, no sense and we only had wind damage. These poor people are going to get flooded up the kazoo and their lives wrecked..I think we in s fl get the best of the deal because Andrew’s a once in a lifetime deal. Those poor people on west coast of Fla are going to sushi’s interminably because of temps in Caribbean and gulf. I came to Miami shortly after “paradise found” Nixon era and now it isn’t. I left uk in 1978, the weather was so dull and Miami was so gorgeous neither are true anymore. The climate has changed in last 50 years at an extreme rate. I’m not saying it’s nature or our impact but ITS HAPPENING.

Storm surge 10, 12,-20' is a killer surge and 100 plus winds. Don't be fools...Get Out, get gone to safety. Massive destruction is coming. Don't stick around to whine and cry because there will be no services left if you fail to exit the area. Find safety of higher ground and you will survive to rebuild later.
