Nowadays family courts are balancing both the parties and passing the verdict. 20 yrs ago eventhough we didn't have child for 10 yrs and wife being highly educated with M.A, Mphil nd not going to job got a alimony of 15 Lacs through me from the verdict passed through Madras high court. I was with a pvt Nursing college nd not with IT.

For ppl who think this is absurbed remember there was a time when women used to be burned for not bringing a bike in her dowry. You are just suffering the karma of sins your ancestors had done. The court is the safety valve for tension between two parties so that no mishap or murder happens. This may not make sense but from equality of law this makes sense . People had made more absurbed claims even during reign of kings like asking a piece of land equal to a leather patch and we have seen history..
