Hello fellow Texan! Austin resident here. Texas would love Sherpa. But, most importantly, Sherpa & Jamie would love Texas. Especially Hill Country, imo. We have ranches as big as a city. I’m sure some ranch owner would love to let Sherpa play with the cattle, running circles around them. Careful of the longhorns though. They’re a type of cattle with, you guessed it, big, long horns on their heads. Beautiful species, but keep your distance. And don’t trespass! There be guns here. Austin is the capital of TX, the reddest, most right-wing republican state. Yet, we are also a clear blue democrat city in the middle of this sea of red. So, we’re vocal. We have a saying “Keep Austin Weird.” I think part of what makes Texas a good state despite our government representatives, is because of the range of people, thoughts, opinions, etc. TX is a state made up of all types of people. TX has so many different types of land, people and temperatures in one state. Besides Washington state’s rainforests & snow capped mountains, I’m not sure what other state as as much variety. Of course, this variety is because Texas is bigger than France & twice the size of Germany. Hard to wrap your head around just how big it is. You can drive straight for 3 days & not leave TX. It’s weird and pretty cool. Hope Sherpa can keep working on his diet while enjoying some of these spectacular treats, maybe just one or two a day. Switching treats for carrot slices is a great way to lose weight. Very wise Jamie. Hehe. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Blessed be.

@@callmecharlottex Even if you got a dog from wherever Sherpa came from, there's no guarantee that he or she will have any of the traits you value. You are best visiting a pound or animal shelter and saving one or two of the thousands upon thousands of dogs in desperate need of a good home with a good human. The dogs I've had all came from shelters and while few were pure breeds they all lived a long time and were lifelong best friends.

I live in east Texas and I would believe I was hallucinating if I was at the dog park or the lake or wherever and I heard Sherpa yelling "Hello and I love you" . Please let us know if you ever do get across the pond to Texas I would literally drive however far it would take just to get a Sherpa " hello" as I walked by and a chance to pet him . He is precious and I believe that you are a lucky guy to have such an incredible soul come into your life . That comes from someone that is a animal care professional who has been exposed to so many wonderful fur babies and in my opinion you have 1 in a billion with that sweet boy. I love you guys 💖

The thing with pets being able to teleport (because as everyone who's had a pet before knows, all of them have the ability to teleport), is that it's incredibly short-range, and very limited. They can only teleport to places they know and/or can clearly see, and in the case of dogs, can also only teleport to whichever of their humans has a treat. So it wouldn't help with getting to the states, I'm afraid.
