I am pretty sure you won't be able to scare them in your costumes, because they rely on their sense of smell to identify you before their sense of sight. I am not saying they can smell their Dad from a mile away, but they know it is you in the costumes by your scent.

They did incredibly well with the creepy new creatures. My cattle dog would have run and hid in the closet 😂. That’s her “safe space” during fireworks or thunderstorms. Thanks for sharing your furry family they are all adorable. Especially 💙 Bat. Black cats are special, imo. I’ve had 2 previously & they were both mellow and super affectionate.
