This trimmer was picked up because it doesn’t run and or won’t stay running. Let’s open it up and see what we can find!

If they aren’t 100% happy yes they will make you consider storing it in the dumpster lol

i paid extra money to get this string trimmer that would just work only for it to end up being just as big of a pain in the ass as the ryobi after two years. had it working great with a new spark plug just yesterday - two pull start, perfect idle, no stalling on high revs after it warmed up for a minute. today it just doesn't want to start at all. should've just saved a bit more money to get a stihl it seems.

What fuel are you using?

@@tannersharry using this VP ProMax 50:1 fuel. think I made a mistake by not just using the Husqvarna brand?
@tannersharry2 ай бұрын
@@djancak not necessarily but I have seen several of different 2cyl engines not like the canned fuel. Try getting some good synthetic oil and no ethanol fuel and mixing your own. Usually they run like a top. Let me know

Turn up the idle speed. Stand closer to your microphone.

Very cool video. About time someone shows a real video on these husky string trimmers. Mine is acting like this. I bought a new carb after watching someone’s video. That didn’t help. I going to try the original carb, and try to tune it like in this video. If that doesn’t work, it’s going in the trash. I’m tried of pulling the start string for nothing. It’ll idle but didn’t like any throttle.
@tannersharry9 ай бұрын
If it’ll idle it’s generally just so simple tuning. Thank you for watching! Let me know how f you get it going

@@tannersharrynothing worked, I spent over an hour trying to get it to run and throttle up. I took it to the repair shop.
@tannersharry9 ай бұрын
@@wsmaga unfortunately it sounds like it could be crank seals. Let me know what the shop says if you don’t mind
@wsmaga9 ай бұрын
@@tannersharryoh wow, time for a new one if it’s the crank seal.
@tannersharry9 ай бұрын
@@wsmaga they are pretty easy to replace. Probably $20 in parts and an hour labor

I’ve never had any luck with husqvarna weed eaters, which is odd cause the red max starts and runs much easier. I hate jerking on something I would’ve slung it after the firsts 50 pulls
@tannersharry Жыл бұрын
I hate it too. The carb on this one seemed to be a lot pickier than most. I finally got it where it wanted to be and it runs great now. 🥵
@SCouch-cw6je Жыл бұрын
@@tannersharry I have done the same. But two weeks later try and start it and back to square one🤷🏻♂️
@tannersharry Жыл бұрын
@@SCouch-cw6je I hope not but if that’s the case then the customer will need a new one. The split on this one has been ran loose for far too long and isn’t worth putting any more money in.

Yes unfortunately I see this on an almost daily basis. It’s crazy how many ignorant people are allowed to run anything with engines.
