Start with Expedition model and you eliminate several of the upgrades you did. You get heated seat, grips, Explorer mode, center stand. upgraded suspension, better skid plate, etc. The price difference for models is more than made up and it looks way better🍺

No doubt! If the Exped was out the first year we would've definitely went that route. It is a rad bike off the showroom floor. That makes it a little tougher decision between that and the new 890R... But for this first-year bike, we used our resources and a few other bolt-on's to make this into the Expedition model to keep up with the other bikes 🤘🏻 - Wes

Do those tusk saddle bags have a way of locking onto the rack?

These cannot be locked onto the rack, other than the quick release latch already installed on the pannier racks.

Would air forks not be a good idea for these bikes as your always changing weighr with luggage, passengers and even fuel payload?

Just put your ear plugs in and ride! 😅 Naw, in all seriousness we've put 1,000's of miles on several of these 790/ 890/ 901 platforms and had ZERO issues with the cams. It might sound like a box of rocks next to your buddies T7... but you can't beat the fun factor of these bikes. - Wes

I want a street bike with dirt tires that weighs 500 lbs too.. Watch the professional riders in this video because they do some things on these bikes that a regular guy can not and will not be able to do. Especially when it comes to climbing hills, ruts, and large rocks.

These 901s really do it all pretty well, if you haven't ridden one off road yet you'd be surprised at how capable and confidence inspiring these bikes are. Thanks for the kind words though! We do have some highly skilled riders here at RM

I HAVE A 2022 that looks a whole heck of a lot like that , Tusk Olympus rack/bags , Tractive Extreme suspension ..... most the same mods you mention and then some

Sounds like you've got it figured out. What are we missing from this build? How do you like the rack setup? What's the typical length of your rides? Curious to know if you'd ran a rackless setup? - Wes

@@rmatvmc actually i did run a rackless set upo at first with the (st/t) Husky racks , your rackless system (Tusk Excursion) for 1 trip (5days on the IDBDR) then i ordered a proper rack/bags pombo (Tusk Olympus) and gave it to my son
