Great tips! So true about pricing too low. I've had shoes down to $15 plus shipping and they sit forever. I changed some pics and increased the prices to around $30 and 2 of them have sold in the last week. Take some time to freshen up the listings, make sure the pics are clear and bright and make sure the price is accurate for the market.

Being Inconsistent on eBay is a major reason, it shows that your not active on your store, you don’t have to list tons of items just tweak your account , adjust prices., I list every other day that seems to work a bit Be fair on your prices as well

REALLY good point on low pricing. I have been selling on eBay for over 21 years now and have seen this so many times. Prices on items are too low and once I raise them they SELL. People are wondering what is wrong that the price is too low that is so true. There is a big misconception that buyers on both eBay & AMZN don't want to spend money and don't have a lot of money to spend. Nothing could be further from the truth.

100% agree. Pricing too low to some buyers translates to a lower perceived value, hence they think something is wrong with the item.

I'm 2 weeks into reselling and have invested $126 sourcing inventory from garage sales so far. Out of the hundreds of items I've sourced so far, I've only listed 6 so I definitely need to list more and more consistently; I've sold 2 of those listed items making $36 in gross profit. I'm enjoying the journey so far. Learning realistic expectations from more experienced resellers helps with being more patient.

I love using my 11 pro as well and I began using the new “remove background” feature! It’s freaking awesome!! When I’m really tired but I still want to list I’ll just place my item on my carpet floor and after I remove the background it will look so professional. I just use one ring light but sometimes I don’t and it still looks very clean. Very convenient for part timers!

I went through bad sales weeks ago where my sales fell off a cliff(February). I just recently found a product that sells very well, I get 2 sales a day or 6 on the weekend. Funny but now with the hot item and increased traffic in my store I am selling a lot more items. So my advice, find a hot product and your other items will sell too. Traffic and followers DO really increase sales in an eBay store, no doubt.

I just started consistently listing on eBay as well as Poshmark and Mercari. I haven't seen many sales from eBay and I'm relieved to hear that the more you list the more sales you will see. My question about eBay is what are the benefits of having a store vs just listing items? Right now, I'm just listing and haven't opened an actual store. I would love to hear your feedback on this when you get a chance! Thank you so much!!!

Very reassuring thank you - stopped using offers because the first two I accepted ended up in non-payment - don’t understand why offers pull your item off inventory - seems like it should just be a direct offer they can grab or not while the rest of EBay still has access to your item - oh well / learning - also stopped doing free shipping - seemed like it made my price way less competitive but sales are still slow anyway so who know! Really like the last part about making KZbin videos. I am a natural introvert and have been toying with the idea of doing some videos but keep saying to myself; I don't have the right look, what if I look stupid/crazy. In your opinion, how many items do you need listed consistently before upgrading to an EBay store?
@ezquad9593 жыл бұрын
Common sense people. Calculate your costs. Are your earnings able to cover all your costs. If yes then pay for the store. No amount of listings really matter. If ur selling 1 item that sells off the charts u wouldn't even need a store. Just bank without extra fees. But if u sell multiple items !like most people then this is common sense. I don't buy a store unless ur selling enough to cover costs etc...If people are asking this question your probably not cutout for this because it's more work than you think. I'm seriously thinking of making a video of selling on EBay. Sick of seeing all the tutorials just for views and likes. Tell the people the truth. Jeez.

Another thing to think about is using "Best Offer" on all Fixed Price listings. Buyers love it and I sell a huge percentage of mine that way. Sometimes (a lot of times) we have to rely on the market to tell us what they will pay and if you don't use best offer you are missing out on a lot of sales.

This is just a side thing for me right now just to get some things sold that I don’t use/ never wore etc. It was a crazy how I had only two things listed, and I had the “accept offers” on. Within 24 hours, two different people came and made full price offers on the items, then never sent payments, so I ended up tying up my items up for 5 days until I could cancel and relist them. So frustrating. So I revised to not accept offers.

I think the MOST important thing people need to take away from this is...It wasn’t easy but got some insider insights from people higher up that work for eBay is the market is getting way over saturated... just in the past three years the # of eBay sellers has almost quadrupled.... absorb that and everything else will fall into place. A over saturated market means slower and cheaper sales... the prices will continue to be driven down as time goes on. Bad for sellers good for buyers. When asked how come the market is getting so flooded. Their only response was. Blame all the greedy KZbinrs showing everybody what they sell and how they do it all just to make a buck on KZbin. (They said this not me) 🤷🏻♂️

@@HustleatHomeMom you just have to imagine them all naked, lol! That's what we were always told in speech class, makes it less "serious" but I was always afraid I'd laugh. The way I was able to do it was find a friendly face in the audience, someone who was smiling and seemed interested in what I was saying. I used to do that in reverse in my college classes, I would pay attention to the instructor, let them know I was interested and appreciative of what they were saying (sometimes it helped me to understand some of the harder subjects better too for some reason). I would notice that the teacher would start looking back more at me as they lectured and some even commented on it that it was nice to see someone truly engaged and interested. I don't have a problem with low prices. In fact when I am buying and searching I ALWAYS sort by 'lowest price first'. Before buying I check the description and photos very carefuly and if I have doubts about anything I send in questions. My pet peeve as a buyer is sellers of clothing that don't list actual measurements. Marked sizes are pretty meaningless so actual measurements are essential. Even when I elicit actual measurements, sellers often don't add them to the listing.

When you say more than 1 listing, also true for same item? I mean you can list one item more than once?

Love your videos great info, I am a Top Rated Seller 1000+ Feedback, 270 Listings, Over 90 Items with Watchers, running sales etc.. I have 5 sales this month. I'm really lost as to what's going on. I'm always adjusting prices with the market on eBay... Most of my listings have Best Offer, and I rarely get offers, like 2-4 a month?

BKM, with millions unemployed and many still waiting for their stimulus check I think sales will keep dropping. I sold three items this past week and am grateful.

This is a good video! I was concerned because I just have had two weeks of zero sales. This video sheds some light as to why.

I've been semi-active since December, with about 100 listings so far and everything you are talking about is what I'm concerned about...now that you've clarified what I've been concerned about, I will move forward and stop being upset and impatient! I want to quit my job so that is weighing on me a lot...now you showed me the end of the tunnel! Happy day...by the way, I have clothing hanging up and it's in the way in my little apartment...do you list, then fold everything and put them into those containers? Dresses, coats, shirts, etc? Thank you!

What do you do if you can't find high end brands or they are outrageously priced?

I hate that I have a negative review. The buyer said my measurements were off and wanted a partial refund. I refused and said for her to return the item all together. So she gave me negative feedback. I have reached out to resolve and she wont even respond.- what makes me the maddest is shes a SELLER on ebay. She knows the deal! I think it's a scam buyer's do to ask for partial refund. It makes me so mad that so much emphasis is placedon feeback bc the buyer can say anything and to appease them we lose money/product.
