I have replaced the micro channel con coils on those units so many times. If you are not sure that your phasing is correct energize a call for fan first. It worries me that a new units compressor may come on in reverse. In my opinion never use coil cleaner on coils unless you hate the coil and want it to die.

@Jason-wc3fh Жыл бұрын
Bad idea. You then need to go around doing that for every other component on the equipment that runs on 3 phase. It's much better practice to change the MAIN wires and leave the unit wiring factory in relation to how it was phased when they built it.
@trouble30906 Жыл бұрын
I’m replacing 2 compressors on a brand new chiller because the last guy started the unit and the phase monitor went into alarm shut it down..He swapped the phase and the phase monitor alarmed cleared water pump started up and was running backwards then he shut it down swapped the main phase again and then swapped monitor to get it out of alarm then started the compressors up and smoked both of them..Point is check the phase before start up and make sure it’s rotating to the right..if the water pump is running in reverse then only swap it not the main..just my 2cents.

Buy tools and probes on day one. As soon as you know the basics start using them everyday. Go to the mock boards and controls and voltage, understand superheat and subcooling, airflow, diagnose bad motors, coils, find shorts, brazing, recovery etc. Also Ask questions when u don’t understand something and buy diagnosing books. Treat school as a job. Write down what you need to learn how to do and do it. Do this and watch how u ll be years ahead of the rest of the class by the end of the program. Good luck!
