When you start worrying about time, you are slipping up. You just charge for it. Not doing preventive maintenance has consequences. You run through a cycle following the sequence of op and watching the dumps, purging the sump, etc.

It looks like the pump and the control board only need 120v to run. As to where the compressor needed 208v to run. He has 2 hots , 1 neutral, and a ground going to the system from the switch.

What threw that person off is that the water pump was coming on but the compressor wasn’t assumed the compressor or compressor components were bad . Guess what all HOSHIZAKI water pumps are 115v not 208/230v that’s the purpose of having a NEUTRAL at the incoming voltage 😁😬. Good fix JMT 😃

Man that was some great troubleshooting. Can't wait till i get nice with the meter like that. This video may have stepped my game up. With those baffles, the worker take them out so they can get ice out faster. Not knowing they are costing the company money. I usually pop out the inspection window to drill them in from the inside. The baffle is thick guage so you make your holes outside then install it and put the screws in the plastic.

Float switch controls beginning of harvest. Freezer timer max is 45-60 depending on what unit came set for from factory. These units are 45 minutes. 8/10 3 beeps is a lack of water from dirty filters or dirty machine or plugged water filters. 1/10 times low on charge and 1/10 bad water inlet valve or clogged inlet valve not letting enough water into sump. These units have a factory set 1 minute fill time so if sumo isn’t at least 3/4 the way full after 1 minute check water inlet valve. If compressor starts before 1 minute and sump hasn’t filed all the way it’s your float switch

In a situation like that where you can’t get to the compressor wires and you have to check potential relay -what terminal you check on the potential relay to check for power to compressor?
@ilc-nl3yy10 ай бұрын
I have a 6 year old Km-201bah that I maintain well. Sometimes it'll beep once and sometimes 3 times, so I reset it and it'll work for several days. I had it checked out and everything checked out okay. He said it could be a relay on the control board. It's in my garage and has been doing this for a little over a year. Could it be air circulation in my garage? Would putting a small portable air conditioner or dehumidifier close to it make a difference or replace the control board?

run and start should equal the common. Draw a circle and 3 dots to represent the comp terminals. write the ohms between each pin and the number Opp is the resistance for each winding, common should be the sum of run and start windings.

Ice machines are the most complicated systems most of find in commercial refrigeration. Lots of rabbit holes to go down. Each manufactures has their own proprietary systems then all the different manufactures. Customers don't appreciate what we have to know.
