Just had my van broken into. They cut off the slick lock on the sliding door and punched in the key hole unlocked the door that way, they didn’t need to break the driver or passenger window to unlock it. Took all my veto bags fully loaded out. Torch kits, refer machines and gauges, all mg Milwaukee batteries. Had couple craftsman pack outs they took those as well. I have a husky 5 drawer tool box got lucky I guess they didn’t mess with that. Be careful out there, the slick locks are easy for experienced thieves they’ll get into no problem. I’d advise good alarms system and the more heavy duty side door lock but if you do not have it backed good enough they can just pry it off with a crowbar. The thunderbolt deadbolt system looks like it has potential.

1. Of all the work trucks I've had, the Chevy vans have personally been my favorite despite the Covid pricing in my area getting out of hand. 2. I swapped out my 2 50' hoses for the 50' Zero G hoses and have never looked back. 3 years on the same hoses and much easier to unload and load. As I attests rinse off 90% of all unit I check before SH and SC.

My truck is an extended cab....thats full, the side and top bins...stuffed to the max. Vans do allow for more storage and security of whats inside. Vans don't fit into parking garages here in downtown Austin....and street parking sucks...so having a truck is useful and the size of parts and equipment we work on....an open bed is clutch.....i like the way you organize your vans...its set up nicely

You would have to put in a charger at your employees house and pay a percentage of their electric bill to be able to have electric vans. Government doesn't think about that. Plus if everyone had to be forced to get ev vehicles I bet they would have to limit electricity use overnight to keep up on the electric grid.

Electric vehicles for commercial work are so dumb of an idea. They cost more to manufacture, dirty to manufacture, and use slave labor to mine the raw materials for the batteries. They dont go the same distance. Last half as long as a gas vehicle

Just curious, is there a reason you stay with the regular sized vans? Vs the transits and such that are available now? The company I work for moved to Ford F250’s with SpaceKap Diablo’s. We have also ordered a bunch of the high roof transits. Where I am we get a lot of snow so 4x4 is a must. But the one thing I love is being able to stand up in the back. The van looks great though! I’m a stickler for organization and cleanliness in my work truck too.

@HVACRVIDEOS9 ай бұрын
That is a question for your tax guy, we purchase but I’m sure there are great arguments for leasing also
@etonmows79019 ай бұрын
I can see the benefits to leasing, but I think purchasing is better. Most work trucks these days will last 10-15 years and 200-300k miles with few issues if you take care of them. Once paid off they have to be cheaper than leasing, but I could see potential tax write offs changing that depending on one’s situation.

Ev engineer who also isn’t ready to own an EV- there’s no way the automakers would switch completely to EV for a work van- they know work van customers need a cost effective, reliable vehicle. Hybrids are where work vans will go, and if you can afford one I’d recommend it- 30+% fuel savings depending on traffic type, still very reliable.
