Another Great video showing the virtue of these light weight HW Models. I was converted myself after buying a SFS 99s in .22 flavour from a good chum a year ago. I was so impressed, I've now got 2 other 99s's - 1 in .22 and 1 in .177 - both fitted with Vmach Glided internal kits by myself. Both superb to shoot being light weight and incredibly accurate, with a great shot cycle. Keeping with the lightweight theme, I've just got an HW 30s, to which I've fitted yet another Vmach glided Kit. The result is a super lightweight rifle, producing a mere 7.7 fpe, but so sweet to shoot and as accurate as an 'accurate thing' out to 40m. Everyone should own one for the sheer enjoyment. Keep up the great work Vin.

Amazing result for a new gun straight out of the box. Worth stripping it down to clean out the slathering of orange gunk HW use and replacing with just a few dabs of high molybdenum grease. My old Venom tuned 57, which I bought used, has had plenty of use over the last 9 years. Very accurate using H&N FTTs, Goldstars, and surprisingly, the new Wasps which are made by H&N and distributed by Bisley Wholesale. I think the 57 is one of the gems of the Weihrauch springer range.

So glad it's everything you hoped it would be..when I was looking into them some people were finding issues with loading port not lining up properly, hopefully that was restricted to a batch as it certainly doesn't seem the case with yours..look out there's another rifle I'll have to add to my wishlist 😆👍👍
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
@@steve4697 cheers Steve. Yup cracking rifle. In regards to the loading port I was speaking to my gunsmith buddies and they have said they've never had/seen that issue. Likewise with my old 57 never had an issue and I must've shot thousands of pellets through it. 👍👍👍👍

Great film clip Vin. Could you do a film clip on cleaning the barrel? I have never cleaned the barrel on my HW57 (not had to), but from what I have heard, you can remove the pop-up breach for cleaning.
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
Ok sure thing....I must say it's a long winded thing to strip down the rifle just to run a pull through when 2 or 3 cleaning pellets will do pretty much the same job in a few seconds 😉.. however I'll strip the 57 down and show you 👍👍👍👍

Hello Vin, enjoyed the video. Out of curiosity what did the chrono say about the Hw57?.
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
@@urbanfox53 hi buddy, off the top of my head 8.48gr Streamlined QYS 782 FPS - 11.53FPE....hope that helps. I'm just about comfortable with that as I fully expect the power to creep up a little once run in 😉👍👍👍👍👍
@Kurt_SteinerАй бұрын
Just a question vin...so how do you clean the barrel?
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
@@Kurt_Steiner Google Napier cleaning pellets...basically a felt pellet you fire through the rifle. If you really felt the need you could always strip down the rifle but it's not really necessary 👍👍👍👍
@paulspeller968Ай бұрын
not mega pellet fussy . definitely stacks em . what’s it like for barrel cleaning . looking is like it could be a bit of a faf with that breach loader . not a deal breaker though . pity they changed that stock design. i am not keen on the cut out on the under side of that butt . but hw seem to have gone that way with all there new stocks
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
@@paulspeller968 yeah I'm not a fan on the cut out underside buddy. For barrel cleaning a couple of Napier cleaning pellets seemed ok. This '57 loved QYS both domed and Streamlined. I'm gutted that I didn't record the 40 metres trebor mints challenge, 10 shots, 10 mints shattered...I really recommend this rifle very highly indeed 👍👍👍
@paulspeller968Ай бұрын
@ 🤣🤣🤣 felt pellets . of course 🤣🤣🤣 there was me thinking how would you clean that barrel 🤣🤣🤣 and to top it off i always put a couple of felt pellets through the red wolf at the end of each session. did not cross my mind 🤣🤣🤣 been a long day mate yes qys stream line seem to do the business 👌

Hi mate , enjoyed that video , I'm a sucker for HW rifles aswell , wonder if the Hawke Scope would do any better groups , just a thought .
@vincentenglish8489Ай бұрын
@@glenford4527 yeah I see your line of thinking buddy. I'm not 100% on the Victoptics yet, it'll take a few months I guess of testing to see how it holds up. I honestly expected it to fail today, but 300 plus rounds down range and everything working as it should. A 13mm group (covered easily by a 5p) is pretty impressive at 40m especially with a brand new gun so I'm not sure wether a scope change would've tightened the groups more. However only one way to be sure and that's to do it again with the Hawke on board 😉👍👍👍👍
