I'm going through all your videos now. If someone actually asked me this in an interview for a senior job I probably wouldn't accept any offer because I want to work with smarter people. If someone failed to answer the question it would probably be because they got nervous and were looking for weird stuff that isn't there.

Hi Greg, Thank you so much for taking the time to check all of our content, it is much appreciated! People do get nervous when interviewing and tend to forget basic concepts. Others just get rusty and forget certain concepts. We aim to show all types of questions because interviewers are trying to establish a baseline for knowledge of the interviewee. Someone might be interviewing for an entry level position but shows so much technical aptitude that they may be considered for a higher position. The opposite is also true. This question can easily evolve to non-idealities of the capacitor and even evolve to talk about decap on voltage regulators using the same principles from this question. A good interviewer will always be able to pivot the conversation to understand the limits of the candidate. Thanks again for being here! :)

Since you are using theoretical abstractions, it might be nice to mention that the current spike can be modeled as the unit impulse (aka Dirac delta) function with a factor of CV.

As there are no Resistance so differentiation of step voltage will be giving Impulse as Current hence infinite amount of current will flow and the Capacitor will getting charged up by V volt instantaneously i.e. Vc=V and we will get step voltage of amplitude as V in the capacitor. I had thought like this way is my concept is correct ?
