After raising my kids, I am ready to go back to work. Thing is, I don't have many skills. But I love nails. I would love to start doing nails as a profession. I know it's competitive, and I am 44. But at my age, I don't want to start a job I hate. I hope to find a good accredited school where I live. Even at my age, I think I can find success as long as I work hard and love what I do. Watching you on KZbin has been an inspiration. I know you have been successful in the business for many years ( I mean that in a good way, lol) but the fact that you brought your brand to KZbin and you aren't a 20 something woman is inspiring. Thank you. (It's hard for me to put into words what I am trying to say. I hope this came across ok!)

I'm 38, have been divorced twice and have 3 children and most recently I was engaged to the man I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with but that didn't end up being the case. I fight the thoughts all the time that it's too late for me to be happy and do the things I love, but I'm picking myself back up, I've enrolled in school, not for nails sadly, although I super enjoy learning about them and it's such a beautiful art, but I'll be a history major and I start in January 🙌 😊 Focusing my energy into being the best Mom that I can be and finally doing something for myself instead of living for someone else is the best decision I will ever make. I hope that all of you find success in all you do!! ❤

The reason youre my fave nail channel is because you show us your learning curve and mistakes that are useful to see as we get to see how you fix them if that makes sense. Its better than watching some 'perfect' know-it-all 💖
@lyndysimpson12722 жыл бұрын
I truly agree. I do nails, but I don't know how to fix my mistakes. I go to classes and they show you how to do nails, but they never tell you how to fix them like side where you file straight ,but when you're filing straight you put a notch in where the free edge and the side is or how to make the Apex look like an apex instead of a hump I appreciate you so much Susie I wish I could come to your classes I live in California and I think you're in Canada I could never afford to pay a class ,pay airfare, pay hotels, so I just thank you so much for doing the videos cuz this is the only way I get to see you and love you and I just appreciate you and your husband so much for helping us new nail techs and old nail techs and just anyone who wants to watch your videos.thank you so much ❤️😊😊

I have a channel but still don't change my color very often!! I'd just use polishes or pigments to get same effect.. easier to change your mind! You can still add in some bling or something to add a bit extra to it too.. don't forget to wet the sponge first with water it makes it much easier to do!! Good luck come back next tell us how it went!!

I love this! I have this exact product, but never made a French fade. Some tips/information I learned about this product. - The color Extender is actually a little less opaque than Nude. And it's a more cooltoned color. - I was told to scoop up product from the side of the jar to avoid air bubbles. - If you see "spots" on the product, your brush is too wet. If the product sticks to the brush, the brush is too dry. - Everytime you put on a new set, first lay down a thin layer of Clear where the extended nail is going to be (so a little bit on the tip of the nailbed all the way to the tip of your new nail). This is supposed to help with the durability, because the other colors are more poreus. Hope this helps anyone. ♡

It is honestly such a relief to see that Suzie doesn’t always create a perfect nail on the first go. That sometimes they’re too high or thick or bumpy or discoloured. Maybe list your top 3 or 5 acrylic brands. Would be really awesome. You’re the best, I love your videos. THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE
@lnuma926 жыл бұрын
NErnstsson But that's only based off of preference and what you'd want you work to look like. For example, I'm not a huge fan of ENail Couture, but I LOVE products from Naio Nails, EMi, and Tonez. You just have to experiment with what you want. Plus, you'd have to get acustomed to working with acrylic or gel *first* before you start investing on better brands and work your way up. Suzie could give a recommendation, but it won't mean YOU'D like it.
@dizzinese3 жыл бұрын
Being a fan of acrylic and prior oldie but goodie nail tech, I have to say that so far at least with the white, I’m loving the thickness to the gel in that it won’t run so easily. I LOVE how it’s staying put. It’s seems softer than poly but much more firm than soft gel! I’m only doing my own nails now and opted for gel for ease of use, but I have to say, with nail plates like mine which are high in the C-curve snd the sides are almost straight up snd down, having a tick gel is proving to be paramount! The regular gel out of a bottle is far too thin and I have great difficulty in repairing the end of my nail when it simply wears snd needs to be rebuilt up in just those areas! I’ll see what the other colors look like but this looks like a possibility for me. I was going to mix poly gel with the soft gel snd use that on the ends at the wear sites. I haven’t tried it yet. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

as a ceramic artist, it's so interesting to see that nail artists use such similar sculptural techniques. i would love to apply my sculpture skills to some nail art, but i can't have long nails BECAUSE i do ceramic art! booooo! i love your videos!

Every time you post a video, I look at my nubby short nails and think to myself that they could use some extra tlc! You are the inspiration I need to take care of my nails: pushing back cuticles, oiling up and using hand cream ;)

Thank you for your vulnerability showing us that it’s ok not to be perfect the first try! I’m a new-ish nail tech, and I struggle with a lot of these kinds of techniques! I absolutely love watching your videos! I’m coming to Victoria this summer and I want to come check your salon out! ❤️
