Sometimes its the strangest things that cause big issues. Good deal that you found the issue. We had a similar situation on our 3000 with the hydraulic pump and it wouldn't lift at all.

Well, good it's not worse, but still a lot of work! That head light band thing is awesome! Genius! Thanks for the video and the explanation of all that stuff! I didn't know they used an electric de-stroke solenoid on them pumps, just figured it was the same as the smaller whites and Oliver 55 series. Interesting stuff! Take care!

Nice job troubleshooting that problem! I think I have one of those destoke solenoids from a 4-210 never did see one on the smaller tractors! The funny part is in the 90s Deere started using the same Vickers piston pumps that Oliver and White used in the 70s

Good troubleshooting find there on the hydraulic system of the 4-210. Oh the joys of working on older equipment. LOL Of course, maintaining the older equipment does kinda beat the cost of financing a new one. Stay safe.

Nice, a lightbar for your forehead. With that kind of hours there's bound to be a few issues here and there. We dont own a tractor with less than 7000 hours on it. Some green some red but all of them work. Nothing out there now as simple as the older stuff. Great video as always.

I think I got a tractor sucking some air that grunts and groans at me quite a bit, makes the oil look like foam. That system held up pretty well for that many hours, had it been a deere it would have been redone a couple times by now. Lol I was just looking at a sale bill with a couple late model fwa whites that sell Saturday, got a 305 allis on it too that caught my eye.
@jakeziegler5994 жыл бұрын
mr Bill what tractor is that on? I bet that’s what it’s doing. Those would be some awesome whites to have with the duals on the front. U could buy several tractors at that sale lol
@mrbill41874 жыл бұрын
@@jakeziegler599 Its a 7050 I bought probably five years ago. There's three pumps underneath with suction lines that go into the rear end housing with suction filters and I bet the seals are bad where they go into the filter housings. Ya I'd probably hit that sale if I could get a milker. I mentioned to Chris Losey that it would be a good video if he went and it's only an hour south of him but he said he's got daughter's band concert to attend. I was going to tell him family doesn't matter when there's an auction to go to.😂
@jakeziegler5994 жыл бұрын
mr Bill lol ya he’s got tractors that need bought! I assume ur several hours from the auction? Hopefully it’s not a big job to change those seals
@mrbill41874 жыл бұрын
@@jakeziegler599 I think it be about three hours or so, those 4w-305s are pretty rare so I wouldn't mind seeing it. Sat in a couple 8550's before but the newer ones had a lot better cab and laid out better. My uncle has one of the baby 4w-220 but its resting in need of a torque limiter. It's a shame because he ran it on the manure spreader mostly and they only made like 140 of those tractors total. I need another tractor like a hole in the head but I'll probably buy another one sometime. Lol My brother sold all his 2 cylinders except one and bought a oliver 70 and and old superior drill he's been fixing on. I think he likes those old Oliver's. Lol
@mrbill41874 жыл бұрын
@@jakeziegler599 I don't think the seals are to bad other than draining the rear end oil which probably due for a change anyway. I put a pump in my 7040 shortly after I got it and it seems like I just used an o ring out of a kit, but I think there's a square seal supposed to go in it. The 7040 has been fine so must of worked. Lol I was poorer and a lot stupider back then about 2000 or so. 😂

Good video! I got nervous when you started pulling on that wrench. I was afraid that if you didn't have the wheels chalk or the tractor in gear you're going to pull it on top of yourself. A guy doesn't know his own strength sometimes can't be too careful.

Did you'll loose hydraulic pressure or did the hydraulic oil heat up because of that seal? At least you had easier access vs. removing cab on 2-155
