So you’re saying you don’t like the “humpty hump” in the hydro (sorry early 90’s pop music reference) lol😅 Btw your videos are why I just got a hydro pro :)😊 One thing to be aware of with the Nordic track is the user weight limit is 250 lbs. Hydrow rowers are 375 lbs. While I’m not 250 lbs… I once was 320 lbs and thru hard work and diet, I have lost 80 lbs and bought the Hydrow to reward myself and keep the new found fitness going!

I own the rw700 which looks identical to the rw900 you have here just with a much smaller screen. It’s heavy and well built. As a word of caution check the tightness on the 4 seat bolts the front two on mine came loose and fell out. Took a while to find where they came from as it wasn’t part of initial assembly. I think the 500m split is off also, it’s good for comparing to itself though. Also you can over power the magnetic resistance. Meaning under heavy and quick movements during the catch phase it can feel loose before it catches up. Overall I’m happy though. My favorite work out machine.

Hey Steve. Thank you for sharing this comparison. How does the noise level compare between these two machines? Which machine is quieter?

I would say about the same. The resistance is very quiet on the RW900 but you do get noise from the seat rail and its the opposite for the Hydrow. Overall, both are alot quieter than a Concept2 and you wont really hear the machines with headphones

Hi Steve I have read and watched many reviews about the NordicTrack having big issues with the magnetic resistance not working properly. Do you know if Nordictrack has ever addressed this flaw . I really like the looks and the fact Ifit makes it more usable than Hydrow without the membership

It’s been brilliant for me. I think if there were issues, they’ve been resolved for the 23/24 model year. I’ve just finished filing a review with the RW900 that’s coming out it this 5pm Sunday so watch this space!

Yes, that’s right. One subscription covers all my NordicTrack (and Proform) equipment.
