I totally relate regarding poverty mentality because I also wasn't able to get the body care products that I wanted when I was younger. So, the second I started earning enough, I started purchasing a bunch of things without a reason and I"m not using them. i did a big decluttering day last summer and threw out everything I was not using and I started purchasing only what works for me whether its skincare products or haircare products

Hygiene mistakes 1. Not drying ur feet fully after a shower/bath (fungus could grow or get “athlete’s foot”) 2. Not flossing ur teeth at night (it gets all the gunk from what u ate during the day out and avoids cavities) 3. Not changing after working out even if u didnt sweat (sweat is absorbed by clothes and can grow fungus) 4. Re-wearing workout fits (same as the one above) 5. Oiling ur hair and not double cleansing after (causes a lot of buildup & funky smell) 6. Not washing ur pillowcases and phone case (bugs, bacteria, products in ur hair/skin, sweat can give u lots of acne) 7. Using too many body products (quality over quantity and mixing products can create strange results/smells and buildup)

So, I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I had not been to the dentist since having my braces removed at age 20 (I am 27 now). I went to the dentist today and despite not having had a checkup or cleaning in 7 years, I had no cavities and my gums were only marginally effed, lol. And it's because even though I was terrified of the dentist for years, I still brushed, flossed, and TheraBreathed like a pro and had good oral hygiene. I also never chew gum or smoke. I'm not saying don't go to the dentist. But I am saying, following good hygiene tips can save you a lot of trouble!

@LovingGodLovingOthers9 ай бұрын
I had this for years! My jaw even locked out of place when I was 16 and I got my wisdom teeth removed and they cracked it back into place but that didn’t help my jaw at all I think it only made it worse. It got so bad I lost my right side dimple and my lip looked a little paralyzed on the right side. I went to the dentist and the simple x ray they take before cleaning my teeth showed my right jaw is completely damaged!! So they recommended braces. I found a really good orthodontist and they have a monthly payment plan so I don’t have to pay $6200 out of pocket! She said I have a really bad crossbite and one molar on the right side is basically at a 90 degree angle lol so it has to do with the crossbite. I also have a really slight overbite. My teeth are almost completely straight so I never thought I needed braces but my jaw just kept getting weaker and worse. I have braces now since last week and I have no pressure or pain in my teeth (I guess because they aren’t really crooked) but I have a ton of pain in my jaws!! I recommend going to a free consultation at an orthodontist and see if you have the same issues as I do. I hope you don’t have it as bad as me because it’s a pain😭 Btw I’m 24 and not many orthodontists do adult braces so make sure to find one that does if you’re older like me
