Hyperglycemia, Ketones, and Diabetic Ketoacidosis | Managing Childhood Diabetes

This eight-part, new-onset diabetes video series is used by Beaumont Health, along with the Managing Childhood Diabetes binder and the hospital educational checklist. The symptoms and treatments for high blood sugar are explained in this video. The steps for testing urine ketones and plan of care to prevent diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) are reviewed.
