Can you leave the usb cord plugged in and then zip tie it by the radio or something so you don't have to do all that every time you change tire size?

I've heard it's better to just measure your tires and not use measurements like 285/70/r17 for your tire size. I've heard it makes it more accurate. Any thoughts?

For the Tacoma: Do not change the gear size. The speed is taken directly at the wheels. If the gear size is changed the speedo will be off.

One key thing to mention is that the software required to be downloaded will NOT work with Macs unless using Boot Camp software program on Intel Macs, but the new M1 (Apple Silicone) macs, you cannot run windows…thus needing a windows computer, so not ANY laptop or computer…

Any idea if these units work in model year 22 Tacos? Hypertech and Rough Country don't have listings for the 22's. To me it seems like there should be no issues since its the same truck from 21 to 22. Also what program is used to open the updater on Apple MacBooks?

@@matthewtrimmer293 The Hypertech Inline Speedo Calibrator (PN 730123) for the 2021 Tacoma will work for the 2022 model. Unfortunately, our Tuner Update software is only compatible with PC. You could run a virtual version of Windows on your Mac and that should work, but that's on you. I would suggest finding a friend with a PC.
