I actually did beat Hypno by using Vulpix's Confuse Ray, Ember, and Smokescreen to confuse it, burn it, and minimize its accuracy hoping that if I fainted it I would get a different ending. Kinda disappointing that it just played the normal Lostelle scene from FireRed. I had no clue that you could just run from it and get the same result, Don't I feel like a dingus...
