I just want to thank you again, Alice for all your videos, I keep coming back to this one, at least once a week as it really helps me. I did some HIIT today and I could do the jumps because I have been doing hypopressives with you every day. Felt so grateful to you. 🙏

Thank you so much Alice. Sometimes I find myself having to really throw myself into a flow but afterwards it feels so good. Not sure what I’d do without you here.

Thank you for this Alice, I could feel the gentle pull at the front. I have been doing your 30 days of hypopressives, again, which is great but have had the occasional leak, even though my bladder can hold so much more water now, when i have to go I really have to go. Hoping this will help as all your other exercises have been brilliant. 🙏

Hi Karen, glad you've been enjoying the video. You might want to consider some other things too for the occasional leaks and urgency e.g. bladder training and PFEs, and might be good to look out to see whether your symptoms are cyclical - as you may have some options here too. Hope that helps! Alice x

Hi Alice, thank you for replying. Re bladder training; Do you mean something like kegals? I used to do some but there were not as effective as hypopressives have been. Not sure what PFE’s are, sorry, 😅 I have noticed a cycle, it always coincided with my period but I’m post all that now, 😅 Karen x

Please can I check that when you say relax the ribs after the lateral breaths this is the apnea breath? Should the apnea breath be held at all?
@hypopressiveswithalice Жыл бұрын
Hi there, thanks for watching! Have a look at my beginners playlist for in-depth tuition on the breath cycles with the vacuum breath. In brief, 3 lateral breaths, the last exhale is followed by a pause where you relax the belly and then gently stretch the ribs sideways, without letting any air in - and hold until you need to take a breath in. Hope that helps!

Should I contract the pelvic floor during apnea or keep it relaxes?
@hypopressiveswithalice11 ай бұрын
Hi Patty, keep it relaxed - it will contract automatically during the apnea x
