"feels much more like a real car"....because of fake engine noises! I don't care if every manufacturer does it; it's silly and pretentious.

great car the only thing i have a hard time digesting is i would lose my mind if I had to wait at a refueling station in my ghetto ass city for 18 minutes. I gotta have a swivel on my head for the few minutes it takes to put 10 gallons of liquid fuel in my Altima, on full alert for annoying pan handlers, thieves, and the man at the gas station that's screaming at the top of his lungs and punching at the air.

My issue is, “What does battery replacement cost.” And, I prefer to go silent instead of the engine sound effects.

For the normal Ioniq 5, it's on the order of $40K+. Basically, the vehicle is totaled.
@bikdav2 ай бұрын
@@WSKRBSCT That’s what I was fearing. Most other electric vehicles (that I’ve heard about) also seem to be in that price vicinity.

By the time you're out of battery warranty 10 years from now it'll likely be sub-$10K

Battery technology has improved, including the built in cooling system. The battery will outlast most transmissions … and you’ll be saving time and money over gas.

That’s an incredible amount of energy-and transfer via charging-wrapped up in that package, you’re strapped in behind electronically locked doors. Seeing battery fires gives me a strong case of the ‘nopes’.
