Hyundai should have at least given the Indian i20 N-line their existing 1.4L TGDi from Creta/Seltos. Simply rebadging the 1.0L Asta with retuned suspension and exhaust kit felt like an insult.

This Hyundai i20 N is a heck of a mad crazy machine. That exhaust note is so phenomenal and that 1.6liter tgdi engine is a charm. Wished that hyundai would bring this i20 N to India but due to high taxation in India .

And in India , we r getting tin can version of the i20 ..1.2 engine is very underpowered and pathetic in driving dynamics. Only 3star in Gncap crash test.doors are very light. They reduced the weight of the car for the sake of mileage. But I didn’t even get a mileage more than 11km/litre in my whole run. Im an ex owner bought it for its looks and features but the underpowered NA engine was biggest disappointment. U get all useless features in Hyundai cars with compromised built quality and driving dynamics. I sold my i20 asta with in 6 months with a loss of 3 lakhs . Now i bought Taigun . Im very happy with Taigun . Actually my dream car was Polo. But they stopped production and i ended up buying i20 and this happened..

That's what Hyundai can do. It'll never bring this version to India. Reason being lack of good roads and some immature, untrained young "BROs" who'll just get their license and hop into such a fast car. Talking about license, the test includes just a basic forward move and backward driving in a straight line unlike other countries where it is actually difficult to pass a driving test. They train their youths better. Unfortunately there is so much lack of management in India.

Nowadays people are concerned about mileage, comfortable suspensions , features, reliability, after sale services etc etc there is a reason behind that , even if how much we people like these types of cars and many of us maybe could afford these but on practical basis we won't choose these cars because of infrastructure we get here in India such as the roads we have the dangerous highways we have anybody can come from anywhere , mismanagement of traffic and variations in climatic conditions plus mindset of people how much car we are getting for how much money we are spending,, this perception will take ages toh overcome. Maybe we all love these types of cars and could afford to some extend but actually no one is going to buy these. People are calling normal i20 expensive so how come they are going to buy this.

This is what made me fall in love with this car. Sadly, right now we can only get a small part of the charm of this car in India with the i20 N line variant, but I am happy that Hyundai brought atleast that to the country. The parking camera button is the DRVM button dude, In every hyundai video ur saying the DRVM has been removed, even in the new venue u said it's not there, maybe go through the features before hand, all hyundai/Kia cars come with the DRVM feature. It's either turned on from the infotainment system or it has a dedicated button.
