Please compare it to the Polo gt, then the old gt tsi and then Abarth... Hot hatches in India have slowly and steadily declined in performance over the years ... But its a happy ending if you watch it in reverse 😉

There's nothing like the Abarth punto that these warm hatches can be compared with . Abarth is the king in this segment and I am lucky to own one. Stage 1+ Remap makes it 180HP Lowered suspension using Cobra Borla exhaust system! thats what you call a hothatch!

Finally, we have a car with better driving dynamics without compromising the family car tag. Ford, Fiat, VW...everyone has tried and failed miserably in their task of enlightening Indians what is meant by 'fun to drive' cars. Lets applaud Hyundai's brave move, a Korean brand who knows Indians better than Indians Hope that, in the near future our market will mature enough to accept a full blown i20 N. :-They could have provide a manual version without those gimmicks like sunroof, at a more affordable price.

@@sanketphapale8160 well yeah we care about it..I didn't say...that car is not good it is a great car..but the thing is that they are still selling us a 10 year old design which they stopped selling in every other country ..and many countries have gotten 3 updation from this model..so as an enthusiastic car guy I care about it..we should get the new designs .🙌🏻❤️

It’s one amazing drive. I own an N line N6 imt. I am glad that I took this after my diesel Polo. I waited and waited for a new Polo which ultimately didn’t come to India and then came this.

Yeah I had figured out that way of bumping the power. It's German and it's in my current i20 diesel which is 8+ years old and yet staying strong and fast on the roads. These Germans have something for the nline engine too and that's most likely my next upgrade. 😎

I'd rather prefer the sleeper gt tsi which is actually faster and safer. This ricer look with same standard engine is just plain misuse of N line badging. Also no tcs with this inferior hyundai chassis? Nope.

Of course the Polo. But. Hear me out. Maybe if you tune the engine of the Hyundai, it might be able to go head on head. And that's a big might. Apart from that. I'd chose the NLine because it's more fresh and new and looks way better than the Polo. That's subjective of course. And really dig the interior styling.

Huumm... Maybe it is... maybe it's just for someone who needs to feel exclusive and want a hatchback for himself..... What I am trying to say is why will anybody buy a hatchback that expensive just for that noticeable difference.... Because at same price one can get an iMT topend KIA-SONET which has bigger engine .... almost same power, more torque, more space and more of everything.... Except that sharp maneuverability of i20...

Good review. However, again it is looks over the performance. One can "somehow" tune the suspension and steering. Well those who take car to track anyways do that as per their liking. But the price justifies. We have the actual N here in Australia and it is some machine.

Superb review and Cyrus you made my blood rushing, one quick question do we have full control with the paddle shifters or does the DCT shifts on its own if don't upshift or downshift.

you do have a high amount of control But of course, not like a manual. for example, it won't let you bounce off the rev limiter all the time on a downshift.
