It's really surprising that no other EV brands offer a 350kW (or faster) DC fast charge capability that's standard on both Ioniq 5 & EV6. Not even the latest offerings from BMW, Lexus, MB, Polestar, Porsche, Volvo, and certain not from Tesla, can match Hyundai & Kia. Being able to charge 10%-80% in 18 mins (compared to 40-60mins on the others) is a gamechanger for me. IMO, a manufacturer releasing a new EV today that doesn't have at least a 350kW DC fast charge feature, is not forward thinking enough and is already outdated.

Note that neither the Ioniq 5 or the EV6 can charge at 350kW but 225 and 233 respectively. The Porsche Taycan and Audi E-Tron GT both also have 800v systems and can charge at 270 or 225kW (battery size dependant), so yes other manufactures offer fast charging from 350kW chargers including Porsche that you state do not

My apples to oranges sense is tingling. Claimed range for Kia of 528km is for the air model not the GT-line RWD shown which still boasts 504km. Price tag shown is also for Air model, GT-line rwd (After a price increase?) starts at AUD $79,590 compared to the, renamed, Ioniq Dynamic's $69,900. For $ to km of range the Kia is $157.90/km WLTP (Real world range = NFI) and the Hyundai is $145.32/km WLTP ($162.93/km real world range).

Great review. By the time we can buy one of these, we'll have the Tesla car/plane and these will be like a horse and cart! 😆

same money as a TESLA 3 ! why would you but a car that looks the same as a petrol car?

Tesla has many build quality issues. But many Tesla fanboys (including my uncle) just dismiss it as the cars character. He loves his Tesla so much that, he does not find it an incovenient taking the car back to Tesla several times to get these fixed. And the Model 3's DC fast charge max capacity (250kW) cannot match the Hyundai/Kia (350kW).

@@fatmanoverlanding They do not charge at 350kW just make best use of new 350kW chargers. Both Porsche and Audi 93.4kWH models charge at a higher rate of 270kW

Simple. We have a dog so need a hatchback. Tesla 3 therefore useless for our needs.
