Fortunate enough to have an official Nurburgring taxi lap with Hyundai back in summer in an Ionic 5 N,,,,,, off the scale! phenomenal performance and handling, personally I love the sound and gearing

Plenty of people complain about the sounds, but I love them. They do sound better in person than on most videos -- there's a low rumble tone going to the Bose subwoofer that makes it feel like an engine vibrating. It actually sounds more realistic when it's sitting there idling than it does when it's revving higher. I also love the fake gears, and they wouldn't make sense without the Ignition sounds (and they don't make sense with Evolution or Supersonic). But even without the fake gears, the experience of launching it with the sounds is noticeably different than with the sounds off. It feels quicker even though it really isn't, because your brain interprets the increase in pitch as meaning that the engine is revving higher and the car is going faster. Something just feels off when launching without the sounds.

The Ioniq 5N is the beginning and revolution of Hyundai's high-performance performance line. The German companies of the internal combustion engine era are falling, and Hyundai seems to be the leader of the EV era.

I am the proud owner of an awd Cadillac Lyric , which puts 500hp to the concrete and looks like a runway model while doing so . I've taken it to the drag strip in Gulfport Mississippi a few times and it's quicker than the stock Camaros , Mustangs and Challengers . They do burnouts that create a lot of noise and smoke and then pull up to the starting line and gets beat by a beautiful whisper . Don't get me wrong , I've owned a 78 Z28 Camaro twice , a 72 Chevelle with a strong small block , then converted to a big block and a 76 Nova pro street big block and big tire car . But times have changed people , the horse and buggy is still an option and that's all I got on this subject America , "Laissez les bon temps rouler" and I'm out 🎭

Watch more you be videos and you’ll see this on cars in general. It’s a frame rate camera issue.

@@aussiefurbymogwaifan6621 yep. When the camera’s frame rate and shutter speed don’t match the frequency of the lights turning on and off, you’ll see LED lights flicker on the camera. This phenomenon is called the stroboscopic effect. But the human eye doesn’t see it when looking directly. I’m no expert on it, have just seen many KZbinrs explain it because we see it on camera and videos like this one.

i usually dont comment on YT videos... but i really have to say, at first i tought - damn, not another women who is going to tell me something about a car without any clue what she is even talking about. at the end i have to admit that i was utterly wrong... the thing that got me the most was to see a young lady who is able to set up a propper driving position (seat,steering wheel) for herself, never ever have i seen that before, al those other female reviewers are mostly cringe. also a real nice and informativ review overall. love ya.

Nice car but mental price to buy and insure plus although the fake engine noise provides a soundtrack to your travels it just sounds like a computer game and if i wanted that sort of sound id play a computer game even in the arcades which would be alot cheaper than this car. When i last changed my car i almost went for the standard Hyundai ioniq but what stopped me was even for it the insurance was going to be twice what I was paying at the time, and they wonder why EVs aren't selling?

I suspect that if you drove it for a timed lap on a track that you'd get it pretty quickly. The fake gears and audio give you feedback on your cornering speeds without taking your eyes off the road. It's just a level of interaction that EVs without it don't give. Coming from ICE cars the total lack of feedback from the the typical EV vehicle is both sterile and artificial.

65k ! For a Hyundai! Its nice but can you really use all that power on todays roads? Ive just brought the budget chinese version the mg4 x power... 430bhp 0-60 3.8 secs, Awd, big brakes, stiffer suspension.. terrible range but it only costs a fiver to charge up and i only paid 30k brand new. Ive been in one of these and i dont think the interior quality is much better than the mg.
