The original DeLorean was based off Hyundai Pony Coupe concept car which came out 6 yrs before it. Fact from Italdesign.

The DeLorean was based off Hyundai PONY. Back then Korean car was not popular but Japanese cars were, therefore people don't know about it. But the fact is the DeLorean is a copy cat of the Pony. Not the other way around.

Don't get your hopes up. I felt the same way about the RM22 and the promise that we would get a mid-engine (gas powered) race car that could be used as a daily driver... They literally called it their halo car and then out of no where just nixed the entire platform....... Don't get your hopes up and don't buy Hyundai with the hopes that your investment will bring you the car you REALLY want in the future. I went down that exact same road, nothing but disappointment.

Wow this sounds amazing. Almost like a high-revving V8 or V12. This proves that an electric car can have the emotional sound without having to mimic a ICE. Please make it sound like that irl! Also the boxy styling of the concept is just pure beauty. Reminds me of an Audi 80 Coupé and maybe something like a Lancia Stratos. I would absolutely love to see something with 80s/90s Styling but modern tech in an affordable production car. This and the Pony and I have my two new dailys in my garage 😀
