Man I cant even explain how happy I am to see this video! My trunk was going on and off for the passed 2 days, I pushed abit to hard on it thinking it was stuck and the fking thing popped up into my door and now the only way to open it is with the inner latch.. I thought I was gonna have to replace the door or pay someone 100$+ to fix it. Youve just saved me loads of time and money with this easy fix 😁 However I'm now wondering if this isnt a factory issue and there probably should be a factory recall to have this issue fixed. If you've had to replace it 6 times now, Im definitely gonna order and extra one for emergencies 😂

235k on the motor. Have you experienced the ticking? I see communication about tit being loud injectors or your internals going. Curious if you have experienced the sound and thoughts if you have.

Thanks so much for an awesome video. You had mentioned actually removing 2 of the motor mounts and tilting the motor down. Did you have to do that or where you able to get the transmission out without doing that. Thanks.

I only removed the trans mount and the lower bogbone mount on the rear of the engine. Once they were removed I could lower the engine and slide the trans off pretty easily.

Hello!! So, I just replaced the trunk latch just as you did. It came out just fine, but now my fob does not work for opening the trunk. When I press and hold the trunk latch button the brake lights blink, but nothing else happens. Any thoughts?
