@UpperDarbyDetailing2 жыл бұрын
There are reasons for that. Part of that is because of the order of operations. You have to brace it to install the A pillars and roof properly. You need those installed properly to do the roll cage properly. Also, the bracing being done is not exactly high tech. One set of braces should be front left to back right and vice versa at the height of the top of the door. I believe that covers it, but I freely admit I may be wrong about some or all of this.

@EyeMWing2 жыл бұрын
Eh, screw around with cars long enough and you too will end up buying the last-whatever-in-the-world. I've pulled it off at least once on every car I own... Including a 2020 WRX. It's especially common with body parts, because the factory will basically just make x extra bodies and never assemble them, and that's the entire supply of OEM body parts, for all time. Pre-painted body parts are in even shorter supply, because those are literally just whatever was left over in the racks when they were done assembling cars - usually only ever one or two each. Finding this kind of stuff isn't really hard anymore, since the OEM parts inventories are all heavily computerized these days - it's basically just a matter of finding a dealer parts guy who will humor you and look even though he knows damn well it'll have been exhausted ten years ago and be suitably surprised when, yes, there absolutely is one left. On the top rack in the back corner of a warehouse halfway around the world, next to the ark of the covenant. It's especially funny when it's some incredibly minor part like a badge or a windshield wiper nozzle and the pricing hasn't been updated since it was discontinued 30 years ago, so they charge you 80 cents for it. Or your OEM might be Dodge and they just throw everything left in inventory away as soon as the factory warranties time out.

Nice to see the 355 resuming work. Respectfully, Freddy, you could've used the body kit without ever mentioning the guy and/or his brand. As another commentor said, the guy already has your money. While some folks might have known whole made it (I didn't and always wondered why that front end was up there) most would've been clueless if you'd just glossed over the manufacturer and removed any badges. Granted, it's your car, and your money; but just by directly addressing this kit and the builders issues, you've already stirred the pot and made all us curious folks figure it out. As for folks asking about Jared, most of the stuff lately has been body related. I've noting but good things to say about Mr. Pink, but I don't think body work is his forte. Always surprises me that, anytime Jared isn't seen for a while, people have to make it into drama.
