I worked Ems for years. Got a bunch of brand new 2006 e350 ambulances, and then the broke non stop. We went through engines every 80k. It was such a relief when the v10 gassers came out. Think I have hearing loss from those engines as well. 7.3 was louder and much slower but at least reliable

I have to admit I’m a (Government Motors) person but, this made my day I have been following this series since the auction and trying to mess with it when you got it to aar hq, I saw it in the back-round of so many other videos since and I knew you’d get it running before getting rid of it, i knew it wasn’t the engine internals not at 94k, I get a lot of people talking crap crap crap about anything i ask for knowledge on vehicle related a lot of people make it a bigger thing than whats actually wrong with it, like they know from behind a speaker/keyboard 🤔 probably hoping for others to give up and sell it so they get it for cheap and get it going themselves . Great content as always! Congratulations!!

Hey Randy, I own an F350 with this engine and I was told no matter synthetic or conventional oil, in order to keep the fuel injectors happy, as in functioning normal, an oil change is required every 3,000 miles or sooner to avoid issues. I use Rotella T6. Happy to see it running again.

RANDY WHEN A DIESEL SOUNDS LIKE THAT RIGHT AFTER YOU RESTART - IT SOUNDS LIKE IT SKIPS AND THEN CLEARS OUT -IT HAS AIR IN THE SYSTEM - CHECK THE FILTER AND BLEED CANISTER- WHEN IT STARTS - HOLD RPM AT 2000 SO IT CAN CLEAN OUT THE AIR IN THE SYSTEM!

Red lever above the double doors is an emergency release. Close the doors and put the lever in the opposite direction for the switch to work on opening the doors (located above drivers head where the rear light switches are). The wheel chair ramp - the vehicle needs to be in park & parking break on for the system to work as long as everything is hooked up power wise.
@topher8634Ай бұрын
The Advanced Fast Idle will idle the engine up to about 1500 so that the A/C compressor and alternator will spin faster. As soon as you press the brake, it will return to normal idle. That looks like a Braunability lift. It is full of micro switches to control its operation and are prone to failure and getting out of adjustment. Also, the wiring at all the bends will break. The panel below the gear shifter is for the lift. I believe the parking brake has to be set for it to function. There will be a loud beeping if the lift door is open and it will not let you shift out of park. There is a toggle switch on the control box for the lift and there should be a high amp circuit breaker somewhere for it. I've seen them in various locations from under the hood to beside the driver's seat. If it is active, then the two spot lights will turn on.

If this was my bus I’d rebuild the high pressure oil pump and either delete the egr or buy an upgraded egr as it’s the biggest failure point in 6.0s Edit: keep up the good content!! I love seeing you putting life back into vehicles destined for a scrapyard
@M_Phipps0520Ай бұрын
The 04 super duty I had that showed no oil pressure had a bad check valve on the high pressure side and it was taking away from the low pressure engine oil pump. If that is what you have going on, you should be able to rev the engine up a little and the engine oil pressure should return then

@squarefever4076Ай бұрын
With that bus being a StarCraft bus in order to operate the lift you’ll have to apply the parking brake and make sure that the power switch on the lift below the cord is on. Also if you want to use the door switch to operate that rear door you’ll have to push the red emergency release lever back in place so that the motor connects back to everything in there. ❤

It’s easy to connect water tank in this bus! You remove the chair lift and a stand up 100 gallon tank fits in there after you built a wood stand wall! Set the parking brake and turn the chair lift on from the driver switch panel. If the engine kicks up to high idle the lift controls should energize when the lift doors are dogged open. There's usually a white ADA lamp over the lift door that lights up when the doors are opened & lift power is engaged. The keyswitch in the fender runs the passenger door motor.
