9:00 Took you some years to get that Dremel out, but now you're working that jigsaw like nobody's business. 😍 A tip for the Dremel: yes, cutting plastic with it does melt it, *however* , the excess molten plastic that remains after you cut, can be easily snapped off with your fingers and you'll be left with basically the clean cut you wanted.
@jeffreyphipps15074 жыл бұрын
She could also use the Dremel on lower speed and sand. Acrylic melts with a Dremel because of the heat generated from the speed. Cut the speed way down and the melting stops. It will take longer, but will do the job. Even a fast Jigsaw will melt acrylic. It also would be good if she had flat hand files. A small disc sander that clamps to a table wouldn't hurt either. Future tools for future builds.

Be cautious with the filler bottle, the tapered end can and will eventually come off! I got one stuck in a radiator and it was a huge pain in the backside trying to fish it out with some tiny forceps. I would immediately pull off the tapered end, I didn't find it necessary for filling my loop and it actually adds unnecessary restriction to the coolant coming out so you have to squeeze much harder.

Main reason why and hasn't necessarily bothered with the gaming performance as much as we would love is because the main market is not gaming, it would actually be workstations, editing and etc. But I've very high hopes with zen3 so lets all hope that amd take the win for once in gaming.

I like that you use the wrong tool for the job because that's all you had to hand. Improvisation is the core of ingenuity. No matter how many tools I have, I never seem to have the right tool to hand. As a result I'm notorious for bodging together convoluted solutions to what should be simple problems. Some people call it bad workmanship. I call it "thinking outside the box."

I'm VERY pleasantly surprised you mention the different blades that a jigsaw ( or any other saw ) can have. It's something even 'craftman' channels don't mention, and yet it is crucial for a good and clean finished cut. Also, for the jagged edges, try a wood file, then coarse sandpaper and end with wet medium sandpaper. Clean build, something I'll always watch being built, but don't have the skills, nor the money to invest in doing for myself. :)

I tried to send a comment about the GPU block terminal issues but it looks like your already ahead of me on that one. A quick air pressure test (not with the new compressor) will tell you if those O-rings on the block are going to hold long term. Depending on how worried you are about that you could follow Jay's lead and use RTV for the seal but I think you would be fine just using a small dab of O-ring grease and making sure those retainer bolts are snugged down as tight as your game to tighten them.

I really like your idea of using the pieces of acrylic to cover up some of the more rough-looking areas of the case! I'm thinking of doing either a 10th series intel, or 4000 series Ryzen build in the next 6 months with a mostly white aesthetic - so I may follow suit with using acrylic veneers!

I like amd and Intel, still prefer Intel for gaming 100% and this is not just because everyone says.. Intel also has a nice overclock room, I mean, a 10900k at 5.2ghz with around 1.36v does 70º! this is a great temperature for such frequency and 10c/20T. AMD is beating intel in price/performance for sure, but if you have the extra money for getting the best (in gaming) go for Intel! Otherwise if you use high workloads such as editing or any demanding core/thread count software go for AMD 100%. I personally have both in different systems at home, getting the best of each for what they do!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you are going to have issues with that GPU Waterblock from Corsair. The problem is Corsair cheaped out and only used 2 screws to mount the connector port instead of 3 like everyone else. Search Corsair Waterblock Issues, I am sure you find many videos on this topic. It's not a matter of IF but WHEN your GPU Waterblock will lead. Especially since you are using soft tube you will be more likely to leak. If you gently put a bit of pressure on the Port Inlets, via a slight twist, you will see it quickly move away from the Acrylic base and water will escape and cause serious issues. If I were you I would not use Corsair at this time until they make it right and use 3 screws to secure the Port Inlets. I am a fan of Corsair and have many of their products, not many involving water, but PSU and Cases mainly and when I started seeing KZbin videos on this leak I was very disappointed in Corsair for doing this. The savings that Corsair managed needs to be calculated on tenths of pennies, basically they saved a nickel per 100 Waterblock units, from bypassing this one hole and screw. Never before now did I ever think Corsair would cheap out like this... I hope you read this before your install because it will be an issue... Cheers...
