Your video is hilarious 😆….and also relatable ….I too purchased the size 18 love bracelet (4 diamond yellow gold reg size) and returned the bloody thing because I thought it was too big ….then I bought it AGAIN. All because of my wrist bone 🦴 being pronounced and when I chatted with my CA at the boutique he assured me size 18 was the perfect size for me. The day I purchased it the SECOND time …..I absolutely fell in love, and have worn since for 4+ years!

The sizing drove me crazy as well especially because I bought the love and juc at the same time and I only realized they were a little tight when I went home! It took me days before I was able to exchange mine. What helped me decide on the right size was a customer in the store with 3 or 4 love bracelets. I asked for her advice and she said to size up as we live in a tropical country so our arms would swell during summer which will make the bracelet uncomfortable on the arm. Apparently, SAs would recommend the tight fit but it's personal preference if you want a loose fit. No regrets for me on the loose fit, I wear a size 18 for my 16mm wrist.

@Ling ling Hi! Sorry to hear that the 18cm is not working out for you. How long have you had yours? I've had mine for 2 years now and no regrets because I live in a tropical country where it is like summer most of the year so having a loose bracelet is really more comfortable for me. I also stack mine with the juc small in the size 17cm and another custom made bracelet with a similar width to the love bracelet and I love how they still move on my arm rather than having them stuck in just one place. It is really a matter of personal preference. I also know some who regretted their tight love bracelet as they find them uncomfortable. I hope you could still make yours work.

I had the same issue except I asked for a 17 thinking I was going to lose weight, when I should be getting an 18. Left with the 17 & wore it for a few days & decided to get the 18. Contacted our SA if the exchange was possible & to our surprise, he was completely fine with it. No questions. No trouble. So it really depends on the SA you have. Mine is awesome & super understanding. I’m glad you ended up with the right size for you. ❤️

I totally felt this video - when I purchased mine (20th wedding anniversary gift from hubby), I had to order from the online Cartier store which is in Hong Kong (I am in Perth and we don't have a store here). When it arrived I was sick with worry that the 18 was too small too but then realised any bigger and it would be swinging around my wrist and we know thats not how it is meant to fit. I kept it and I'm so glad I didn't go bigger. I also understand what you mean when you say, can't live without it. I feel the same too! Its such a classic piece.

It’s most likely too late to mention this; however, I will. I wear my Cartier bracelets on my left wrist since I am right handed and this avoids most scratches. I love Cartier & Van Cleef & Arpel! You’ll have to give it a try. Start with the 10 motifs and if a single motif go with a Magic. You won’t be disappointed. I loved your story! It’s a big expense and I think you did the right thing taking it back to make sure you got the right size! ❤

I appreciate your thoughts because it helps others decide. I have a white and rose gold, both push presents for my last two, both are big enough to rotate on my wrists (size 20). Now that I’ve had them a couple years the nails don’t bother me, I just make sure it doesn’t clank on the desk or laptop. Mine are scratched enough they just look worn but my only annoyance is that I have to double check the screw tightness every few days - I keep the screw driver on my night stand it’s that often. Completely agree on the inability to take them off now, one on each wrist like handcuffs, at least until my daughters give birth and then they’ll inherit them.

Same thing happened to me… but I bought mine tighter bc I had the smaller love bracelet in the tighter size. But when I got the small love back from repair… stacked together it was too tight and it felt suffocating. I almost had a panic attack on the way to the store almost 3 weeks after I bought it and wore it out of the store on my wrist. But they thankfully exchanged it and it feels 100% better. I also sold my other one and purchased the bigger size too. Mine hits the same place as yours and I also can’t believe I went through that over a bracelet. All the SAs recommend the tighter size bc the more it moves, the more potential for damage but every SA I worked with all had it looser. Or maybe I just am in between sizes and the decision making process just sucks.

When you mentioned the price for your bracelet in Australia I got curious and pulled out the receipt for my LOVE bracelet. No Cartier jewelry store in my country so I bought mine in Sloane Street in London in 2005 (old version with loose screws). I found it to be expensive then since there had been a steady price increase since I first laid eyes on it in the ‘70ies. Versus the AUD 9000 you paid I wanted to see the price increase since then. I paid £ 1.775 which with today’s rate would have been AUD 3.350 means the increase since 2005 has been AUD 5.650. If one takes the value of AUD and GBP at the time the real increase is even more.Quite remarkable isn’t it, because if one looks at the gold prices in the same period the value of gold didn’t have the same increase. Personally I blame it all on the Kardashian family stacking these bracelets like they were plastic toys on their arms. Since then everyone and their mother seemed to wear one or several. They truly deserve the title «influencer» and Cartier can laugh all the way to the bank🤣

I had the same issue. I bought size 18. It was wayyyyy to big. After a week, Cartier allowed me to exchange to a size 17. Fast forward 3 years, I’ve lost 10 pounds, now size 17 is too big. But I have 2 of them on and last year when my hubbie added the JUC, he got size 16, which corresponds with the size 17 love. So now, all 3 of them are big and they do rotate. Oh well!!!

Same shit happened to me when I bought my first Chanel Jumbo flap bag. I lusted after the caviar leather with gold hardware and bought just that. Then I allowed my partner to influence me into exchanging it for silver hardware because he said it looked “too mature” in gold. So I went back. I exchanged it, much to the chagrin of the SA, he was visibly bothered, made the exchange and then said something that haunts me to this day. The sizing is always an issue as it’s personal preference! I originally got the size 17 and I was worried it would be too tight if I got hot etc so changed to the 18 and still was unsure at first but now I’m used to it! Sometimes I put a sweat band over it to protect it or keep it in place if I’m doing some cleaning, but the scratches don’t bother me and going through the airport security is interesting! The SA who helped us had me try on size 18 as well. After getting some advice from other more seasoned Cartier owners they suggested I size up. So when I do finally get the Love bracelet I’ll be getting a size 19. I think I want the JUC first though.

Similar story: For my Masters my Mom gifted me the JUC ring and it was such a drama. First wasn’t sure with the size because the nail presses in your finger AND I am sensitive too (underwear story could be me honestly). Then finally decided on the size, went home (2,5 h from the boutique) realized it had a black marking inside of the ring, which I didn’t see before. Of course I wanted it to be perfect and then it… it wasn’t 😂😂😂. So contacted Cartier, sent the ring to the boutique, they checked it, the marking was just completely normal and sent it back to me 😂😂😂. Well haha bit dramatic. Would be 100% the same with the love bracelet - and as I see this video I am thinking: „this will be me in a few years“. Love your humor and your personality so much 💖

I only wore it two or three weeks, because it was waking me up at night feeling tight. I was so sad that I spent over 7K and not being able to wear it. But watching your video, I guess that is normal to feel it this way? Should I wear it again? It didn’t bother me the first week, it was later when I went to the hospital and they injected me morphine, ketorolac & steroids for back pain. I’m wondering if these drugs made my wrist bigger? I bought the small love in 19 in December; I exchanged it for a size 20 regular love; I exchanged that for a size 19 love cuff and now I’m waiting to change that for a love cuff 20…. The sizing is a nightmare and it’s kinda over whelming and the love wa s a huge deal for me too. The same thing happened to me but the the sales people and manager at the carrier store here in the Netherlands were total ***** about it and didn’t want to exchange it and tortured me for months about the issue. I guess it helps when you are a pretty blond white woman ( I’m pretty but just too middle eastern 😉) I’m happy that you got the service you deserve when buying such an expensive piece.

I googled the tarnishing and everyone says it doesn’t tarnish- might just need cleaned but it def shouldn’t be tarnishing. Just FYI

I went through the same thing it's not that we're crazy it's a lot of money to go down the drain if we choose the wrong size. I went back twice myself the first day I was excited a few hours pass my anxiety was killing me I couldn't slWith! It was a horrible feeling because I didn't want my husband to waste that kind of money if I didn't wear it. The lady that helped me assured me that I would get use to the way it fits after 1 week. Good luck guys make good choices! Oh BTW they should verbally tell you it's not refundable or that you can't exchange it if you wear it! That's crazy! People please take it home in the box because if you have it on when you go in to exchange it they try and say that can't because you already used it. Wth!

All labels are cut out of my things, I am NOT about that scratchy scratchy life! 😳 Totally get the alien 'it's attacking me' feeling, it's the same as when you first wear your wedding ring. I felt weird then, and I feel weird now when I take it off for any reason. Totally normal, whatever normal is 💫💕
