Nail artist are usually referred to as nail techs in my experience, not a nail tech but do get my nail done occasionally, esthetician are the folks that do facials, skin treatments, and hair removal, so face stuff.

Color coding books is an excellent way for little kids to keep books organized. My shelves are coded by theme/authors and in ordered in size if possible. For my toddler, color coding is perfect she can even sort them back into the shelf. Don't underestimate the power of color! 😁

The tampon thing - a paper towel generally is hard to use with acetone as it absorbs the acetone too fast and draws it along the paper, it evaporates super fast on paper towel compared to cotton so the tampon thing would make more sense than a paper towel or toilet paper on that instance.

One thing about acrylic/plastic nails, you have to buff them to rough them up a bit to make polish go on smoothly. Kind of like sanding wood with high-grade sandpaper to rough it up between layers of sealant.

Oh my when you talked about the books being sorted by colors I just remembered something that made me smile so hard. I used to work in libraries before my current job. One being the main university library with probabky millions of books. You know the most common description of a book? Something along the lines of 'I am looking for the biology book for 2nd semester. It was red.' I am serious. The troom troom college is a genious.
