When he made the seal for the letter, that was clearly sealing wax, not melted crayon. It is a very different substance and acts exactly like what was shown in the video. When you melt it, it beads up like his did, so that when you stamp it the seal has dimension and gets those rounded edges, which yours did not.

Also, aren’t you supposed to melt the wax directly over the letter so it actually seals then stamp it? I could be wrong, but I would think that if you do it on a separate surface and lift it off it wouldn’t stick. I guess you could glue the wax on the letter tho? Hmmmmm....

How I’ve seen it people will melt the wax in a little spoon thing, pour it on the letter, and then stamp it with a metal stamp so then it sticks and seals the letter

I’ve heard that you actually do need to use a glass container because the glass itself heats up, which melts the crayons. Plastic won’t absorb the heat so it doesn’t melt. I could be wrong tho

In regards to wax stamping, ALWAYS dampen your stamp before you stamp so the wax doesn't stick. It'll happen with expensive supplies too. All you need to do is just press it on your face. Yes, your face. Touch your stamp (or coin) to your cheek, and the oils will make it way less sticky :)

A couple tips for wax seal making: You need a handle on your seal, to lift it before the wax ix completely cooled down and hardened Coating the seal with a tiny bit of oil helps prevent the wax from sticking

We had a similar issue with sweatshirts we got from teespring. It was a defect in the material they put on. Didn't matter how they were washed. The decal actually started coming off after wearing them without washing. They remade them and it's been a year with no issues.

Instead of trying to scrape the dried up left overs I'm the cup, you could've put the cup back on the heat and melted the left over buts again. Then you could pour the extra out and then wipe out the rest because bits easier to wipe out a little bit of melted wax than scraping dried wax.

💜 For the crayons, try using a glass container that gets hot in the microwave. Plastic doesn't get hot. Also it's a lot easier to clean wax off of glass.

In order to make a seal, you can add some glue to the crayola (i suggest placing some chopped crayola and glue on a spoon and then heating it until it melts). Glue makes wax much thicker and allows to imprint your design more easily :D

So I hate to be 'That person' but you keep saying melting crayons in the microwave DOES NOT WORK. Technically, yes, you are 100% correct. Microwaves manipulate water molecules, there is virtually NO water in crayons, so they will not 'heat' or 'melt'. Now try this: Add a few drops/some water with the crayons and film it, so we can REALLY DEBUNK this myth: Further instructions: Add a few DROPS of water at a time and heat 15-45 second bursts in the microwave - this varies on the model/one you own (This may actually take up to 30 minutes or more to do... not joking), adding water when you take it out as it 'evaporates' (turns to steam) as you go. Then, stir it during each burst, even if no melting has occurred, and go again until they should actually be melted. This SHOULD work. I actually no longer own a microwave because of how weird it made the textures of food - Personal preference. But the SCIENCE behind 'why' your crayons do not 'melt' in the microwave. I cannot emphasize this enough; Microwaves agitate the water, not the 'things' in the microwave. It agitates the actual water molecules, not the 'food' or 'crayon' so you need water for Microwaves to work.

there is a crayola world in Minnesota at the mall of America and it has a crayola store and crafts to do so i do recommend and if Jackie goes she will have a lot of fun so if you come to Minnesota Jackie make sure to check it out

I used to have a comb I bought that came with colored wax attached to the comb that you could use to color your hair with. It did not have the same consistency as a crayon. It didn't show up well in dark hair. I think they still sell these.
