Lmaooooo Yox was my strength coach at Rice. They are not telling a single lie. We had a dude throw up during our lift and Yox brought out a mop and bucket and made him clean up his own puke then finish the workout 🤣

My buddy from high school got signed by the Cowboys, think he spent a year and a half with them and one with Cleveland. This dude told me about how serious the mandatory gym schedule was at Nebraska, 6-7 days a week a few hours a day type stuff. When he got to Dallas, he asked what the gym schedule is and they looked at him crazy "There isn't a gym schedule, you don't have to workout nobody will make you go to the gym. But if you don't workout, you'll probably be off the team next month. There's a guy competing for your spot that's definitely working out so good luck with whatever schedule you create." Man wtf 😂

Well, that’s the difference between being a college student in school versus being a professional. As a pro, you’re expected to be doing that on your own. If you need a schedule for the basics you’re likely not going to be there long.

@@walterspears6416 Ok I get it you don’t know my name so it’s gotta be cap to you. I could tell you all about that national championship season as a player just like Bates can. I remember when big Nick Fairley went to hide in the bath room during that early morning work out, one thing Bates left out tho is Yox tried to kill Nick when he got out the bathroom. He stood on business tho they threw every running drill they could at him and made him run against fresh bodies he beat all the lineman in them running drills that day. In front of scouts in all, Nick made a lot of money that day and showed he was one of the best in the country. You gotta be allowed in them gates to know what I’m talking about no cap. Niggas was throwing up while running and all Nick bossed up that day.

It's funny when Bates talks about squats and cleans or bench and incline in the same workout..I grew up doing that. I didn't know it was odd until he said it like that lol. I used to workout with a former NFL DE/OLB that was a Titan as well. He went to FSU. He used to do 500 pound flat bench, then squat 500 pounds, then hammer curl 55 pound dumb bells in the same circuit like 12 sets. Then leave.

100 yard sprints because dudes were caught drinking at football camp. Those who drank carried dummies and ran laps after practice. But, the whole team ran 10, 100 yard sprints. Big 21 was our individual punishment, and it could be tailored to the individual. 3 workout sets, we did mainly push-ups, leg lifts and crunches. You start with one rep per workout , so three sets of one... Then three sets of three... Then three sets of six... Then nine... Then twelve... Then fifteen... Then eighteen... ... and 21... oh the last three sets of 21... If you really were messed up, they went back down to 1. Legend has it some kids did multiple "Big 21s" Oh yeah... it was always in cadence, too.

Child, please! In 2002 USC beat Auburn 24-17, and in 2003 USC won 23-0 at Auburn. 2004 USC team was a lot better then the 2 years before that. USC would've won the NC game 42 -10. Closer then the Okl score, maybe.

@edizzleislands8704 And the 04 Auburn team finally got it together. Whether ya like it or not, they destroy usc. Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams run all over that defense. It is what it is. Be Blessed 🤘✌️💙🐓

If they’re treatjng you like shit it’s because they care. Worst thing an athlete can get is a big head, gotta keep people level. I would be harder on my 5 stars than everyone because my standards are higher for them.

0 seconds ago When the wrestling coach is your strength trainer……then yall can talk. Rule 1) no hands in pockets. 2) don’t stand still or expect a weight, ball, or shoe thrown at you. 3) if the music playing bettter be repping. 4) don’t stop. Squats don’t stop, rack it body squat; bench, rack it and push ups: if you rack it, you partner better be jump roping or running stairs, because yall about to get a shoe to the head or 5 lbs weight thrown at you. On the whistle random ass burpees.
